Stayed for 3 nights in this hotel, I cannot praise this hotel highly enough, loved it. Clean room, comfy bed, lovely view from our room, excellent breakfast with so many different choices. Very friendly and helpful staff, everyone we met was very nice, pleasant to speak to extremely helpful.

A well located, smart, clean Holiday Inn Express. All the staff on all shifts were helpful, friendly, efficient and a credit to the hotel. The room was clean. My only gripe is that they are a bit stingy on the tea and coffee making supplies in the room - only supply enough milk for one cup of tea or coffee and there are no small items like soap in the bathroom. So don't forget to take all your own toiletries! There is a dining area for a buffet hot and cold breakfast in the mornings which has a good atmosphere and was clean, airy and nice décor. The breakfast was excellent and staff were on hand to help if needed. Other meals are not served but they do have a chiller cabinet of sandwiches and cold drinks if you fancy a snack. However, they are very expensive - cost me over £5 for two bottles of Coke! But.. within a few metres away there are some restaurants, TGI Fridays, Frankie and Benny's, KFC and an independent place called The Skiff Inn, which I didn't try but was told by a local taxi driver and another hotel guest that this place had great food, and great prices on food and drink. If you are thinking of walking to the Metro Centre, it is across and up the road a little way, a busy dual carriageway, and not sure if there is a quick and safe way to walk to it. There was too much traffic for us to think about doing that and I drove across in the car - felt safer! All in all a great stay and would definitely recommend it.
Hotel is in a great location for both the Metro Centre and Newcastle. There is free parking and the hotel is surrounded with places to eat (albeit they are all very similiar). The room is ok but I was travelling with my children age 6 & 7. They had a sofa bed to share, which just doesn't work for my kids, they need separate beds! There was little or no space with the sofa bed being made up, not a problem for us as we were only staying for one night. The room in general was clean and the bathroom was ok but the sink was at an odd height, perfect for me at 5'8" but my children could barely reach to clean their teeth!! Breakfast was nice and the staff were very helpful. I would stay again as the rate for the room was extremely competitive.

I two night and found the hotel to be average. The rooms were kept clean but of a basic standard. I would stay here again if nothing else in the area was available. It is to the standard of other Holiday Inn expresses.

Stayed last weekend as part of my sons football weekend. We werent in hotel much but for a decent nights sleep and a lovely breakfast it was great. Staff all welcoming and helpful. Great choices at breakfast. Rooms nice and clean not massive for the 3 of us and lack of wardrobe space or drawers was a slight issue. 1 night the snoring from a guest next door was unreal! but that thats not hotels fault. will definetly return and so handy for commute and for Metrocentre! Missed having a bath but again personal preference. The Skiff Inn across road is fantastic for food and drinks excellent fresh quality food.
