Great bar with friendly staff, good drink selection and nice food. The beer garden is perfect for those summer day(s).

Popped in for Sunday lunch. Hubby had the roast loin of pork with all the trimmings which he thoroughly enjoyed.

I had the very naught combo of Grilled mac & cheese / onion rings / fries - all delish though I couldn't be doing that very often; I'd be the size of a house! The Mac and Cheese isn't as good as it was, a bit bland but the onion rings were stonking!

A bottle of the old sauv blanc and we were done. Not cheap but worth a visit.

This place, and others in the same chain (particularly the Forth in Newcastle city centre) are regulars for me. The food is always excellent. Its just a shame that the drinks are overpriced as it means it will never be my first choice to go.

Nice, relaxing atmosphere, Drinks a little over-priced, but you get what you pay for with good service.
The menu could do with updating, but is by and large very tasty. It's also a nice touch that you can see them cook the food, which suggests there's nothing to hide.
Will certainly go back!
