Stayed here on a Wowcher deal. Glad I hadn't paid more.
We were on 3rd floor. Very hot in room. Bed clean but don't think room had been hoovered or dusted lots black hairs everywhere, dust on back of bathroom door, sticky surfaces everywhere. Stains on curtains
TV sound was intermittent complained about it and asked for a remote but got neither.
People in adjoining room spent most of night fighting and throwing things around room.

For the location and price pretty good. The hotel is a bit warn in general but my room, presumably recently revamped, was perfectly lovely and comfortable. Cup in room not 100% clean, nor was the bathroom as there were 3 hairs in and around sink. Friendly and helpful staff. Will use again.

I booked with late rooms and got the room at a great price for it's location
After a heavy drinking session I had to catch a very early train so was hungover still by the time I got too Newcastle.
It was an easy walk to the Hotel but you will need to find Pizza express where the Hotel is behind.
The lifts were broke and the trek to the up and down the top floor was harder than the walk to the hotel especially if you leave your wallet in the room.
The entry card is required to turn the electric on.
The minus point is if you are a light sleeper the Trains will keep you up or mot of the night.

On arriving couldn't find the hotel as situated at the back of a Car Park . Looked very dirty and mossy on footpath with rubbish outside and a rat trap very welcoming. No help with luggage to our room.

Three flights of stairs to climb to our room was disgusting and dirty doesn't look refurbished to me. No bottle of wine in room on arrival was stated !!!

Room 34
1. Toilet was not clean.

2. Mirrors and shower screen dirty.

3. Cobwebs and dust on windows
.
4. Stains on Curtains and Carpets.

5. Brown stain on Mattress.

6. Gap in between door card entry.

7. Chunk out of Door panel.

8. Chips and fag dubs outside window ledge.

9. Breakfast in bed was 30 mins late. ( grizzle of bone in breakfast)

10. Had to get card reprogrammed.

Would never go back not worth the money!!!

Great location and good enough value for what it is - an ideal place to use as a base for visiting the sights and nightlife of Newcastle. Clean room and good breakfast freshly cooked to order although this was not included in the room price. Don't expect views or fancy service - its just a stopover but it does that pretty well. It is an odd location as the entrance is round the back up an alley which is not too clean but thats not really the fault of the hotel. Helpful, polite staff so no complaints there. Next door to Brewdog which is a good or bad thing depending on your perspective. Not a hotel for spending a lot of time in but frankly why on earth would you visit Newcastle to spend your days hanging around a hotel. I would probably use it again.

This Hotel is very central to all the pubs, clubs and restaurants, so it is ideal if you are on a stag or hen party. I cannot fault the staff who work here, they are friendly and polite. One of the receptionist helped me get my friend to our room when we came back from a night out (He was little worse for wear) But the gentleman kindle helped me get him in the lift and to our room and made sure my friend was okay before he went back down stairs. For the room we stayed in was priced at 69 pound for 2 nights which was a very good price. The room was very clean and the beds are really comfy, I had a great nights sleep. The restaurant I cannot comment on because i never went in it due to sleeping in passed breakfast times. All in all it was a fantastic weekend made even better by staying in a comfortable and friendly hotel. Me and my friends would like to say thank you and we will be staying again in the near future.

This review is going to sound very pedantic but a number of small issues got to me a bit by the time I checked out. The hotel itself is in a very central location handy for Quayside restaurants and bars. This is not a modern hotel but still manages to have decent sized rooms and refurbished bathrooms. Service is friendly and efficient. But coming back to the niggles - the free wi fi basically connected but was too slow to use. The instructions for working the shower just do not work - so I bathed instead. Could not make a cup of tea the second night because the milk in the room was not replaced. The hotel has a rather daft system where if you stay more than one night you have to get your door key re-coded each day. Don't expect a peaceful nights sleep not so much the Hotel's fault as the English culture of drunken Friday nights and yelling at the top of your voice until the sun comes up - you have been warned !
