This restaurant has had several owners over the past 12 years however this is the best it's ever been. Robin the owner is an excellent host a professional waiter and a natural at customer service. The rich contemporary interior hasn't changed much and is still relaxing and comfortable. The 3 courses we had today were faultless, Salmon rillette to start, pink beef and pink lamb with Savoy cabbage, mashed swede, amazing roasties and Yorkshires, perfect rich gravy and even the horseradish and mint sauce were exemplary. We finished with a yummy Plum creme brûlée. GO!

My wife and I went there with our son - not to have a full blown meal because we had eaten well at lunch time. We had been there before, but many years ago.

We chose to have the Tapas menu (for two) split between the three of us. We knew the waitress from when she worked at Six. I would have felt guilty going to a restaurant for a snack in the evening, but as the place wasn't busy we weren't holding a table that could have been used by a "proper" diner.

The food was excellent - well done David, as was the service (do we thank Six or David?).

We were surprised that a restaurant of this quality and at a very reasonable price was not full - perhaps the location was the problem.

In conclusion - a gem of a restaurant worth taking the effort to find.

Visited the restaurant in the week between xmas and new year, it was very quiet, which was a shame as it lacked a bit of atmosphere, with only a few tables occupied. The restaurant offers a very good standard of food, particularly appealing is the use of local produce. My husband said the venison was the best he's tasted. Good wine list, with a selection from around the world, it's a little pricey though.
Service was good, beautiful artwork on the walls, wish I'd had a chance to visit the gallery, next time, we'll go for lunch and do just that.

I was taken to David Kennedy's @ The Biscuit Factory for a treat last night so i decided to do a bit of reading up on what others thought about the restaurant.
All reviews pointed towards a fantastic dining experience - and we all had a very lovely time.

The quality of the beef they use for their Rib Eye was second to none. Not cooked exactly as requested but that did not matter as the superb beef was the star of the plate - closely followed by their very very tasty duck fat chips. For all meat lovers, this is the dish for you!

Their wine list is varried in both price and regions and, im my opinion, compliments their menu very well - great to see. (South African Pinotage with the Rib Eye - WINNER!)

Despite a couple of wee hicups in my experience, I would happily recomend this restaurant to both friends and family.
