A different traditional Persian 'main dish' is served daily, all authentically spiced, ranging from lamb to salmon, mainly served with rice or flatbread or both. They also sell fantastic kebabs! Chicken saffron ,tikka or minced lamd. All come with a fresh salad, and are wrapped in fresh flatbread with the option of the best chilli sauce in the world , and creamy garlic sauce to top it off. Restaurant quality food at cafe prices!:D

We almost missed this cafe amongst the motorcycle shops. It is small with maybe 5 or 6 tables but it's very clean with a clearly marked chalkboard menu. The staff were extremely friendly and within 5 mins of us arriving the place filled up with local Persian/Farsi speakers. We had one course, which was salmon cooked with tamarind and coriander sauce and was served with rice. I felt it lacked a nice, crisp fresh salad - and just as I mentioned ordering one to my friend, a lovely, simple, crisp fresh salad appeared at our table. I ordered a flat bread - although not necessary, but it looked so good when other tables were eating theirs! It arrived at the table straight from the oven - in fact you could have burned your fingers on it if you were not quick to remove them! It was wonderful.
The dish of the day was a pound more expensive than the normal dish of the day fare (ours cost £7, instead of £6) due to it being fresh skinned, boned salmon. It was extremely well cooked and very tasty.
Cheaper alternatives, mostly kebabs with flatbread wraps were available. I will definitely return to see what other daily specials they have.

I’m surprised this café hasn’t been reviewed before, My daughter had mentioned this place to me several times, (she’s moved into a house share nearby) but I didn’t think I wanted to eat there because of its location. Westgate road Newcastle amongst the motor bike shops, however, she persuaded me to go with her (or should I say,my purse..lol)
It is a small café selling authentic Persian food, they have a special Persian dish Tuesday – Friday & Sunday including minced lamb skewered kebabs, saffron marinated chicken with rice and flatbread everything made fresh that day.
She said this is also the place for a Sunday cooked breakfast to cure hangovers (which I’m sure she never has)
We ate aubergine dip, which is to die for, I could have ate a whole plateful with flatbread (the flatbread is made to order and takes a couple of moments to cook) then I had the special of the day, salmon in a green herb sauce with rice, mint & coriander salad. My daughter had mixed meats, chicken on the bone, lamb chops & lamb kebab with rice. Cost = £15 for both of us, bargain.
It’s a café so don’t expect linen table cloths, the staff were friendly, the food tasted delicious, they explained the dishes are authentic and not adapted to the western palate and for that reason I loved it.
It’s definitely a place I’ll be taking my husband on our next visit to my daughter.
