We stayed here for 2 nights when travelling up to a rugby match at Kingston Park. The location is good with the metro a few minutes walk away. The room was small but clean and comfortable with a nice wet room. Whilst there a bars nearby, our room was quiet, albeit some minimal noise from people in the adjoining rooms. The breakfast was much better than I had expected. However the main reason I would return to this hotel is the staff, they were welcoming and helpful. Very good value for money.

Room Tip: We had a room at the back which was quiet.

Great to hear that you enjoyed our continental breakfast, as we keeping adding to improve this for our guests. I still haven't found a particularly fast toaster (you are not the only one) but I am still on the look out! Thank you for your amazing review and hope you come to see us on your next trip to Newcastle.

Myself and my friends arrived at the hotel on the 23rd November where we stayed for one night to celebrate my birthday. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice the hotel was as we paid a very cheap price. The receptionist was lovely and made us feel like home, phoned us taxis, took pictures of us and gave us advice in places to go. The rooms were small but decorated to a high standard and the beds were comfortable also. Great location and only £6 taxi journey into the city centre,

Stayed in this hotel for one night in November to attend a Newcastle United game. Booked a single room and that's exactly what it was. In saying that it was perfectly adequate, very clean, with everything you need and good quality fixtures and fittings. The hotel is located in the very nice district of Jesmond which is about a 40 minute walk from the town centre although the Metro is only five minutes away and this takes you into central Newcastle in ten minutes. The hotel staff were very helpful and although it was too early to book in they did store our bags to save us carrying them around. Late check in is available so no need to hurry back from the city. There are plenty of local bars and eating places if you don't feel like hanging about the city.

Glad to hear that storing your luggage made your trip to Newcastle easier. This is something that we are now providing as a free service and alternative to early check in (which we are unable to offer) and thanks to reviews such as this, we know this is something our guests value. Hope to see you next time your team are playing at St James'.

We arrived at the Newcastle Jesmond after a disaster visit to the Newcastle rooms, where we took one look at the facilities and promptly left, we used Trip advisor to find nearby hotels and came across the Newcastle Jesmond, clean, tidy, smartly presented, warm room, nice hot shower / wet room for an en-suite, 10 minute metro ride to the city centre, don't feel bad about leaving the boyfriend in this lovely hotel over night, whilst I'm in the Freeman hospital tonight now! Great customer services, fantastic staff :)
