As I live in Newcastle I'd never stayed in a hotel there until now and Wow what a start, this is an awesone hotel, right in the middle of everything, but on a quieter road, so you arent disturbed by noise.
Its very modern and all the public areas are very smart and well looked after.
The staff on reception were spot on and efficient.
The room was a really good size, again spotlessly clean, with a massive King bed, and I do mean massive, that was so comfortable The room had everythig you would need and more, Ipod dock, plenty of mirrors, lights, sockets, safe, mini-bar stocked with soft drinks, crisps and chocolate - all free : ) iron and ironing board and a proper powerful hairdryer.
There was a big flat screen TV with a great picture, as you don't always get a good picture in hotels.
The bathroom, although not massive was large enough, with a big walk in shower and waterfall shower head, the basin and toilet were Villeroy and Boch, the soap, shower gel etc are supplied by Aveda, all in all a very classy bathroom.
All the staff we came upon were very pleasant and helpful, special mention to the blonde lady in charge of showing guests to the tables for breakfast, incredibly cheerful and welcoming for so early in the morning. If you pre pay on check in for breakfast it is £12, this covers continental and all cooked items, a great deal, it would have been double in most other hotels.
All in all, I can't praise this hotel enough and for no other reason than it was a great experience we are going back.
