I stayed at this hotel for one night. It was a Saturday night and as the visit was unexpected I was only able to look for a hotel about one week before my visit. I had no car and had to stay in the City Centre. There was very little accommodation available so I had to 'plump' for this hotel. It cost me £240 for one night's bed and breakfast.
The staff were very helpful and efficient and everywhere was spotless. The room was very comfortable and well equipped. There was a complimentary mini-bar but the range was fairly limited-this was a nice touch however. Also,at long last, a hotel with 'free' wi-fi.
Next morning I was expecting to be bowled over by the breakfast in the Marco Pierre White restaurant but I was sorely disappointed. The service was once again excellent but the range was limited e.g. whilst there was a small selection of cooked meats there was no salmon or mackerel. My cooked breakfast was actually cold and once again the range was poor. Come on MPW I could have done much better at the cafe round the corner!
There were many football fans staying in this hotel and I cannot imagine they paid so much for their accommodation.More
