We had the carvery and it was lovely. there was a choice of meats (cooked beautifully) and none of that processed rubbish you get in some places, the veg was fresh and lovely as well so no complaints here. The staff were lovely and friendly so all in all I Would definately go again

“Sunday carvery”
Reviewed 17 August 2014

What a disappointment! Not only did I spend petrol money and tunnel fare to get there I was charged for this lunch. Meat (Turkey) was chewy, mashed potato dry and unable to remove it from the serving spoon, swede was a brown mush with water in the bottom of the serving dish, carrots hard and stuffing balls burnt and greasy. The roast potatoes were acceptable along with the gravy and the Yorkshire pudding two minutes from being cremated. The table was that sticky I was unable to lift the cup and saucer from the table as the saucer had stuck fast to the table and we we seated right at the entrance to the conservatory where the queue for the food (if you can call it that) so every one who was waiting in line for service were standing watching you eat. I suggest Mr Eat who writes the reviews tries an establishment with clean tables, room to move and not be watched while eating and serve fresh edible Sunday lunches.

“Most disappointed”
Reviewed 15 August 2014

Went to this pub on recommendation that it was best carvery in area. Well where do I start - the meat was so chewy and tough had to leave it, the yorkshire pudding was soggy, the veg was luke warm and actually very unappeising The gravy had so many lumps thought i t had an allergy all of its own. Will not be going ba ck there. And the staff, talk about rude well what can I say. If you want a good meal and nice atmosphere DO NOT GO HERE
