Went here to watch City triumph in the league cup and never thought the stairs were going to end up to level 7 in the Leazes stand. Never been so high up in a stadium since I went to the Nou Camp years ago. Great atmosphere created in the away end and throughout the stadium despite the game not being the best. £4 for a bottle of Coors about what you expect to pay. Plenty of staff on in the food areas, but they were fairly slow at serving. Paid £3.60 for a balti chicken pie, which I wouldn't have again. Too much pastry, but very warm. Overall a nice stadium and no hassle in and around the stadium.

Watch out for the 7 flights of stairs to get to the away end but the view is worth it ! Close to the city centre loads of bars easy to get to friendly stewards good footy ground to visit

Firstly this is based on a review of watching football at St James Park.

The stadium is huge and visible for miles around. The architecture is amazing and the transformation of the stadium from the 80's is noticeably visible.

The atmosphere is ok, but the bars around the ground are good and the food is ok.

The only downside to the stadium is the walk to the very top of the ground if you are on level 7, but with a ground that big, it is to be expected.

Anyone visiting the north east should try and take in a game, to mark the ground off the list, which is one of the best in the UK.

My partner supports newcastle and as it was our first time in newcastle we went and watched them play against Leeds. The stadium is massive and is in the city centre. The atmosphere is brilliant. I would recommend visiting here even if you do not support them.
