“A good hotel within budget”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 August 2014

The hotel is loacted near the pink triangle of the city and close to some good bars and great night life.
The roomsa are spacious and large with a good sleep quality, though the room service options are limited and very expensive, also on a food bill of 80 pounds it seems absurd to charge a tray charge of 5 pound additonal

We stayed for three nights and although the hotel was really busy, we did not experience any late night noise as stated in previous reviews. Our room was lovely, the bed comfy and lovely and clean. The check in was seamless as was the check out. All the hotel staff we met were fantastic from the moment we arrived. The bar wasn't overly expensive and it was a lovely place to relax at the end of the day. It is also in a great location. We would definitely stay there again.

Here for 4 days for a convention at Telewest Arena, can honestly say it was a great place to stay and will do the same next year if possible. Lots of hen parties etc but the staff had placed the convention delegates on the same floor therefore we weren't disturbed that is considerate booking.

Room Tip: We were in 505 and 506 it was fine, even had an iron and ironing board. Free wifi was good enough to...

On arrival I felt the man on check in was looking down his nose at us especially when he rolled his eyes mentioning we'd booked on late rooms. Com. Our room was very dusty especially in the bathroom and the shower curtain although looked clean smelt awful. There was also a sticker of a cartoon penis on the wall of the shower. The location is poor for the town centre but great if visiting the metro arena. Taxis are plentiful from outside the hotel. We have stayed in many nice hotels in newcastle unfortunately I don't feel the was one of them and will not be returning.

Used the hotel for my daughters visit parking adjacent to the hotel and everything within walking distance. Can be a lively hotel but stayed till Thursday so missed the stag and hen parties. Provided an excellent breakfast that was included in the price

yes was told were staying in gateshead but to this hotel the staff were very friendly and helpful the choice of the evening meal could have had a better choice for example a better salard bowl and choice and a choice of two soup a roast dinner on a sunday would have been good
the bar was very expensive for drinks to many hen nights and stag night
lots of elderly people in the group
otherwise the staff did well to keep up with work well done tony mbe

Room Tip: 522 had a good view and was clean and tidy

After staying at many hotels I've never experienced anything like my stay at the Jury's Inn Newcastle, walking into my bedroom alone at 1am with all my belongings laid out in the room to find a strange man lying in my bed, the shock of him managing to get into the room was bad enough let alone to find I was to be accused by the night manager without checking then CCTV footage for "leaving the door open" further questioning showed that the hotel didn't have cctv coverage of my room to show me leaving the door open or how he managed to enter the room, like many hotel rooms the door was fitted with an automatic door closure if the case was that we left the door open. It could be possible the door or key which was used to get into my room could have had a glitch which is reasonable, however a free drink, different room and refund is personally not enough when aged 18 walking into my bedroom to find this traumatic state. I wouldn't have wrote this review however trying to contact this hotel via email to write an official complaint for no response given I've waited 2 days which the website states to allow for a response to the email.
On a positive note the security team at this hotel were very professional and helpful at all times!

Dear Guest

Thank you for taking the time to post your review.

I am aware of the incident in question and as discussed during your stay our investigation confirmed that there was no fault with either the door or its lock, the only keys that were used to access the room was those issued to you upon arrival.

I have not received any further communication from yourself so please could you forward your complaint directly to thomas_carter@jurysinns.com
