Great atmosphere, friendly staff and good value for money. My partner and I went to see a show Cooking with Elvis which was fabulous. A really wonderful theatre which works hard to keep arts alive and kicking in the toon!

I love Live Theatre and it never disappoints!

Most of the productions have strong links with the northeast so what better production to see while visiting!

They do great ticket deals and even if you don't get a deal the seats are affordable.

This place is is a complete one off. The atmosphere is superb as is the place itself. If it's a small, intimate theatre you're after then look no further as there is nothing better! No matter which seats you choose the view is good and the cabaret seating is a nice touch although I would not pay extra for them as the normal seats are more comfortable.

We booked to see Cooking with Elvis not knowing what to expect, the play has only four cast members and what a performance they gave - full of laugh out loud moments.
The theatre is a very intimate venue and due to the lay out there are no bad seats, the cabaret seats with tables for drinks is a lovely idea and really adds to the ambience of the place.
I will definately be keeping an eye out for something else at this wonderful venue.

I had never seen The before , but after seeing them for the first time in August, I immediately made plans to bring all of my friends to the September show. And this show was even better!
This are a group of hilarious and talented people, who really deserve the biggest audience possible! The relationship they create with the audience in order to build a new show every month is outstanding.
To give you some idea of the format for the evening; the first half is a collection of improvised games, such as taking a them from the audience performing it, but being paused by another member of show who asks the audience for a style of theatre, music, tv, literature in order to change the style of the performance. It sounds complicated but truly in comedy gold!, where the performers improv skills for music and rhyme are really tested, to great comedic effect.
The second half is mostly dedicated to a fully-fledged musical, which is created using the theme of 'Aspects of..', so once it was the suggestion of Viking, so before our eyes they created a musical version of Aspects of Viking. This month the musical was Aspects of Cutlery. Yes, Cutlery!
I honestly cannot recommend a night with out seeing them incredibly cheap! Please go and see them, I guarantee you'll want to go again!
