First time visitors but will be back soon.

Really enjoyed a meatball starter plus a mushroom and various other bits and pieces starter in a great sauce with a basket of hot pitta bread. Followed by mains of a mixed grill (with amazing lamb) and meatballs in a lovely sauce, both served with rice and salad. We also ordered a side of sautéed potatoes which had a little kick to them and was a great portion for the price. In fact our whole meal was great. Washed down with a couples of Efes beer plus a glass of wine.

The interior of the restaurant was really nice, perhaps reflecting this location has previously been occupied by top notch restaurants.

Service was good though when we arrived staff were smoking at the front; after that they were friendly and effective. Even though when we arrived at 5pm Saturday we were the only diners it started to fill up and it became clear there were a number of regulars welcomed as they arrived.

In summary, we really enjoyed this place and will be back soon. It is only a 3 minute walk from Central Station and about the same from the Tyne Theatre. Go!

Ate here on a Friday night and it was busy with a good atmosphere.

We had the hot platter to start with an aubergine starter which were delicious. All of the kebabs we had were great - in particular the mixed grill. £80 for starters, mains and 3 bottles wine for 4 people. Highly recommend

We were greeted with a big hug by staff who used to serve us at Red Mezze. The restaurant is spacious with plenty of room between tables. The waiters were very efficient and patiently explained the menu to people who hadnt been before. The food was delicious and plentiful. Drinks inexpensive. Although this restaurant isnt in the part of town we normally go to we will definitely make a detour to visit again (and probably very soon). Highly recommended
