Very nice decor and super food! Downside - Music very intrusive - too loud and made atmosphere a bit too much like a bar - not pleasant background music for eating and conversing. Wine list was disappointing. Also the air fresheners (jasmine?) are very strong and could smell them whilst eating. However, will go back as food and service very good.

A beautiful restaurant in all ways...food, service, menu, attention to detail and ambience. Certainly worth a visit with well thought out food and wine menus. While it may be a little expensive it's worth every penny.

Waited 50 minutes for our table, got chatting to a couple who had waited over an hour. We had both booked but it seems reserve rations mean nothing here.

Starters were ok. Special occasion so the mrs ordered the lobster. Smallest one I've seen and expensive for Newcastle.

We didn't make a point if complaining but when we were asked how our meals were we quiete apologetically said they weren't very good. Not only was the lobster on the small side but it was overlooked with no flavour...and certainly no sign of the garlic and chilli advertised on the menu. I had the duck, which was also over cooked and generally poor.

Having told them we weren't entirely satisfied they offered to replace the meals but as it was late we said we'd waited enough. As the manager was telling us he would take it off our bill he took out plates away.

To sum it up... Long wait, over priced, poor food, small portions, poor staff.

We won't go back again.

We visited Sohe on Saturday evening and loved it. I had been before for cocktails but this was my first time for food.

I really like the fact that you need a reservation and they don't just let loads of people walk in off the street for drinks. The cocktails are to die for and we had fun sampling about 6 different ones - which were all delicious!

Food was very good quality. I found the mains quite expensive for what they were but I enjoyed all of it so not complaining too much.

The restaurant has a very chilled atmosphere and even on a Saturday night it didn't seen too crowded. They also play house music in the background.

Overall our bill was about £100 for 2 people. We will be back :)
