We stayed here for a stag weekend and were not disappointed. Having never been to Newcastle the front desk team where extremely helpful with local places to go and eat.

The receptionists had been to most clubs so knew what was good and what we should avoid. They had no problems with us coming back in the early hours and making a (small) racket.

The bar is cheap, there's a pool table but no HDTV when we were there.

Again, as with all HI Express's - take your own iron as their's aren't great but this is across all hotels so nothing against them.

Breakfast is standard HI Express and is good for a hangover.

Overall a quality stay, comfortable rooms and clean showers.

Another fantastic stay in this city centre hotel! Perfectly located - 5 mins walk to train station and metro shops cinemas restaurants and nightlife.Spotless spacious bedrooms power shower and breakfast included! Great atmosphere in the bar and lounge areas and reasonable prices.
The staff are outstanding -they make you feel special and welcome from arrival to departure. So friendly and helpful - nothing is too much trouble. Smiley faces all round! I cannot speak too highly of this lovely hotel and staff and we have already booked our next stay. A big thank you to Andrew and all the team.

Room Tip: Access rooms are on the first floor near the lift

Just two blocks from the train station and a walk to downtown you can't beat this hotel for location, modern basic room and value. Good and reasonable cab service to airport. If you are a restless sleeper be forewarned. This is a favorite groom and hen party scene for Northern England that is handy to all the nightlife so be prepared for revelers coming and going at all hours in the halls.

Drove past as heading from west. Didn't, see so ended up over river and turned and spotted it. Got in right away. Good! Room good as usual with parking next door, again good! Here for concert with 12 min walk from arena. Came back to hotel from concert as wife shattered. Few beers in bar which was OK. B,fast usual holiday inn stuff which was fine. Good pub close by serving v good food, city walls I think! Don't be put off by student hang out. Good priced tasty food.

Room Tip: City walls pub near railway station for grub

Very functional clean hotel. A benefit would be having a 'one-way' system at the buffet breakfast, I counted on both hands the number of times I needed to go round someone.

Other than that, this is the 3rd time staying at this hotel, the location is good, and, reasonably priced.

Room Tip: Most hotel chains offer a simple pack of biscuits in rooms, this might be beneficial. As would a gla...

Dear Ian,

Thanks for taking the time out your busy day to review our hotel.

I know the traffic system in Newcastle can be annoying but its currently under redevelopment and hopefully this will be much better when this is completed.

We look forward to seeing you again in the near future.
