We recently stayed at this hotel for a school project. What a great hotel! The staff were so accommodating, friendly and extremely good with our pupils/children.

The public areas of the hotel are clean and offer exactly what you need. The Starbucks machine was a firm favorite for our teenagers, however, there are tea/coffee facilities in each room. The rooms are fresh and have comfortable beds with a sofa bed, allowing a maximum capacity of 4 per room.

Noise in the hotel was low and the rooms are well insulated against noise from neighbours. We stayed from Sunday to Friday and whilst there are reviews stating noise from other guests, we heard nothing at all.

Breakfast is good with lots of choice available. It is buffet-style and a member of staff is on hand to replenish.

A great hotel, with a super location (5 minutes walk from the train/metro station) and excellent customer-facing staff.

Room Tip: A great hotel for taking the family with room for four in a room!

no hot water on two mornings, the hotel was close to Newcastle central station, but I feel like the hotel was in the wrong area. Close to offices and a very busy road, yes the hotel was clean, the breakfast was a bit lacking. The hotel might of had air conditioning, but if you turned it off at night the room got very warm.

Dear Pat J,

Thank you for your recent review.

I would like to sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused due to our boiler issues. We have 2 large boilers, however unfortunately due to a fault with one of them the other could not keep up with the demand of a full hotel.

We have since resolved this issue, and would like to welcome you back to the hotel in the future to show you what great service we do provide.

Once again sorry for the inconvenience.

Kindest Regards
Lee Anderson

Well located, good room and bathroom with good towels and bathroom supplies. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast. Newcastle is apparently "Party Central", particularly for Hens and Stags parties, so if you have a room on the Square side, things get noisy at 3 am with all the party goers coming back and talking, shouting and laughing at top voice. The noise bounces off the paved square and surrounding buildings straight up and into the window. The staff are particularly helpful and friendly.

The hotel was ideally located, central, with free parking and check in was effortless. The room was clean, contained all necessary amenities and the bed was firm and comfortable. A courtyard side room guarantees a noise free night too. Basic but adequate breakfast rounded off the stay so all in all a great value stay.
