Lovely clean, tidy and bright refreshed room and facilities, helpful staff, good location for city, without all the noise and hustle and bustle. Really good value and so comfortable bed too with choice of pillows.

Room Tip: First floor side on to car park

Everything we needed. Clean, tidy, spacious rooms. Easy access. Quiet. All the staff we met were friendly and helpful. All you can eat breakfast in the Beefeater 10 metres away. I've stayed in a lot of hotels, many (much) more expensive than this, and this is one of the best. We highly recommend this place.

Booked a bargain night away for £29 to travel up to Alnwick the next day. First impressions were that the hotel is in a nice quiet location and looked like the rooms recently refurbished! Room was very quiet too even though mcdonalds was across the road an open 24hrs, with heating u can adjust which was good for the cold snap we've been having! Then came bedtime, the bed was the hardest bed we've ever slept in and we've stayed in quite a few premier inns before too an the beds always comfy! After half hour at about 11.30 my husband went to reception to see if we could change rooms, but they were full so we took the last duvet they had left to lie on top of! The duvet made no difference at all so I took the extra duvet n slept on the sofa, doubled over as the sofa was just as hard! We both had a very disturbed uncomfortable nights sleep and ached the next day, which is not what you need to go sightseeing! The next morning we were given a full refund as its their good night sleep policy which is great but the guy in reception said all the beds are the same in all rooms and it appears from what he said noone else complains, thinking about it after this made me feel a bit like I was stupid for complaining but I swear down the hardness was not in our minds and if everyone else who ever stays in that hotel says the beds are comfy, then they must sleep on a bed of stone at home as that is how it felt (or the beds are in fact not the same in all rooms)! I can't fault anything else at all and im glad it was only one night but it's such a shame as its really put me off going to a premier inn again incase the beds are the same in their other hotels!

When i first checked in at Premier Inn the Lady on the Desk I think she was called Linda was amazing nothing was a problem for her and she explained everything we needed to know me and my friend was very impressed with the lay out of the room it was quite a large room with a very comtfy bed it was very warm in the room which was a good thing specially when it was snowing outside and me and my friend was wondering around Newcastle for 2 hours. The room was spotless and sparkling clean couldn't fault the cleaning staff for anything. We had a enough pillows which is always a problem in some hotels i have stopped in. The bathroom was really nice and there was plenty of space in there too. The man on the night shift was brilliant too I think he was callled Steve and like Linda there wasn't a problem he couldn't solovet. I would love to stop here again when i'm next back in Newcastle. Congrats to the Team at Cramlington

For business travel in the UK it's getting to the stage that you need look no further than Premier if you are going to unfamiliar territory. The room was great, the restaurant/pub next door was very good, the food great, the staff friendly. Even the boss was impressed and he's a regular 5 star user. The only thing that let it down was the WiFi. I ended up using my dongle because I couldn't get a reliable signal in the room.

Room Tip: At the back is quieter and nearer the reception gives a stronger WiFi signal

Would be hard to find a fault, made most welcome by staff on arrival and given directions to locate a destination. Comfortable fresh painted bedrooms, fresh linen and towels, extra pillows large flat 40 inch screen.TV with Freeview. Bar service good in adjacent Beefeater. Premier are very very good at hospitality. Strong WiFi signal in room free WiFi in Beefeater and in McDonalds next door.

Stayed here Friday last week and were not disappointed, we were welcomed by Steve and Sally and Steve checked us in efficiently and quickly with a friendly manner whilst chatting to us. We explained we had an early start could he put us in a quiet room ' no problem at all' couple of clicks and it was done . The room was perfect , comfy bed, big TV and spotlessly clean. Went to the Beefeater next door same story here, Callum on the bar very hospitable. Into the restaurant where a very friendly lad named Ben would be looking after us. From seating us, taking the order to paying the bill he couldn't have been more professional in his manner, excellent service. The food was cooked to perfection hot and well presented. The hotel is situated on a small services where there is a fuel station with a co-op in store and a 24hr McDonalds right next door but this has no impact on the quality of the stay here. Id have no hesitation in staying here again. Thanks to all staff your a credit to the Whitbread brand.
