Stayed here on a Saturday night when attending a concert at the metro radio arena. We arrived by rail and this hotel was a ten minute stroll from the station and easy to find. Check in was quick and pleasant and we were on our way to our room within minutes.
The room and bathroom were both absolutley spotless, towels and sheets pristine white and a nice powerful shower with lots of hot water. There was ample hanging space, hair dryer, flat screen tv and tray with kettle, mugs and tea and coffee.
The metro arena was a fifteen minute walk along the quayside and the up a steep but short hill.
As usual for Premier Inn the breakfast was great value the full english plentiful and piping hot plenty of fruit, cereals, yogurts, rolls and pastries plus toast or crumpets.
The one downfall of this hotel is its proximity to a lot of bars, Newcastle seems to be the mecca for hen/stag parties and this weekend was no different. The partying was in full swing when we arrived around 4pm and continued until about 4am the noise was unbelievable outside the hotel which was quite ironic as we never heard the slightest noise from within the hotel which was very busy. This wasn't an issue for us as we were only staying one night and didn't need to be up early in fact once all went quite outside the bed was so comfy and the hotel so quiet we had a delightful sleep in until well after 9am. We do accept that this is completley out of the hotels control and they cannot be held responsible but it could be an issue for anyone who needed to up early.
All in all this was a great hotel well placed for the station, arena, baltic and sage centres and the millenium bridge and we would stay here again.
