Although we all know what to expect from premier inn , this one really is great.
Fabulous location over looking the Tyne river , very handy for Newcastle city center and very friendly staff.
Also has a good restraunt and bar with great service and sensible prices.

Stopped here for two nights last weekend.Hotel an old building but clean & tidy inside.Close enough to Newcastle nightlife.there was an issue with Saturdays breakfast when food continued to run out on the buffet due allegedly to the toaster breaking and the chef not being able to cope!!! Sundays breakfast was the usual good efficient one you would expect from a Premier Inn.The staff were as friendly as they always are in a Premier but special praise to Jo who was exceptional.

I have stayed in Premier Inns all over the UK and this one by far was the worst. The room was freezing when we arrived and took about 20 mins to heat up. Then the water in the shower only heated up to lukewarm so only one of our party of 2 could shower before we went to sleep. Then the Breakfast service the next morning was appalling with not enough food being made available for the hot buffet service. Consequently, huge queues developed. Additionally, the poached and boiled eggs we'd ordered didn't turn up until I chased them. Overall a very unsatisfactory experience and not at all indicative of the experience we've had at other Premier Inns across the country including; Edinburgh, Liverpool and Nottingham.

Faultless location and the high standards of cleanliness and service I have always found from premier inn. There was quite a bit of noise from the street but given it's location it was only really to be expected and I'm not sure what the hotel could have done about it. Overall I would recommend it as an excellent base for visiting newcastle.

We came to the Quayside Premier after a disappointing experience elsewhere in Newcastle. We were given a warm and friendly welcome, they called us as soon as a room was ready.
It was a large, comfortable, clean room with a king size bed, perfect for a good nights sleep.
The location was excellent with a river view. Breakfast was very good and the staff were once again very professional and friendly.
The Quayside can be noisy, especially on Friday and Saturday nights but we were given a reasonably quiet rooM.

Very impressed.

Stayed here over the Great North run weekend with partner (who was taking part) and our 6 year old son. We arrived very early to drop our bags off and have walk around the city, and were offered a room there and then instead of having to wait to til 2pm. This was very much appreciated as we had driven quite far and our son was feeling quite car sick. The room was on the third floor and had a side view of the Tyne Bridge. Big comfy beds and very clean. We stayed 2 nights and cannot fault anything. We had breakfast and dinner in the restaurant and it was great. All the staff that we came into contact with were very polite, helpful and friendly. Little bit of noise at night which is to be expected considering the location, although would have expected the rooms to be double glazed but they weren't. Book early to get a car park space which is under the hotel. If not, there are plenty nearby. Lots of nice restaurants right on the doorstep if you dont want to eat at hotel. Will be back again next year.

Stayed here for a birthday night away with Hubby and friends, I do think that its the location that makes it so popular as at the end of the day, it IS just a premier inn.

Room was clean and bed was nice and comfy, My sister and hubby were staying with us and their TV didn't work at all, when they rang reception the lady was quite abrupt and said that all she could offer was a room change.

We got this as a cheap deal and only paid £30 for the room on August Bank Hol so really cannot complain, it was a decent enough room for a good price and we weren't in the room much as we were out celebrating
