Stayed one night ,superb, big room spotlessly clean, nice bathroom, scalding hot water .Intended to eat next door at Sabatini's' italian restaurant but was persuaded by the restaurant manager to try the hotel deal, what a good deal, two sirloin steaks ,two starters, two deserts, two glasses of wine and an all you could eat breakfast (which was superb) all for £46.00,and because we had booked our room in advance that only cost £35.00.
So all in all a good nights business trip for £81.00 for myself and my Wife

Well done Lenny Henry.

Room Tip: Keep away from the Kittiwakes

Good hotel, stayed for one night with friends for a night out in Newcastle, very clean and a good nights sleep after a busy day shopping and a great night out. Never ate in restaurant only drinks so Carnot comment on food but plenty of selection of drinks

My husband and I stayed here 3 years ago on a trip to the UK from Australia, and we are hoping to repeat the experience in September. We were impressed with the Hotel being so central to the City Centre. Parking was available and not a problem.Loved the views of the River Tyne. It's the city where I was born and it holds a special place in my heart. So handy to look at the historical buildings of the city. Well worth the stay...staff were excellent and were able to assist us with any queries. In fact, we are attempting to stay at all Premier Inns as we travel around the country in september/Oct. Thank you Premier Inns !

Room Tip: Ask for a view of the River !

Stayed here on a one night visit to celebrate my husband's 30th birthday. There was a card and balloons in the room which had a beautiful river view - a lovely touch. Staff we spoke to were all friendly and helpful. Bathroom could do with a little updating but is basic and worth the money paid so not really a massive complaint. Good that you can co trol temp of the bedroom through the thermostat. Beer delivery v early in morning woke us but we didn't mention at reception as it could happen anywhere you stay and not the hotel's fault.
Highly recommend - great location (there's a bus up the hill ibto the city if not wanting to walk) and some great restaurants and bars along the quayside

This was a very old building, however the upgrade and appearance was very good. The room was tastefully decorated and the furniture and bed were excellent. I had requested a river view which overlooked the Tyne Bridge. The breakfast is well worth having. We will stay again

We stayed here again for a concert at metro arena all the standards here are still in place since our last visit lovely staff and super clean rooms. We had a meal in the bar and all was very tasty in fact one of the nicest veggie burgers. Breakfast was great as usual for premier. Newcastle is still as busy and noisy on a night with all the stag/hen parties. This hotel seemed to have a discreet strategy in place to keep these parties away from couples/families in terms of rooms and breakfast which certainly worked well when we were visiting. Lots of partying groups staying in the hotel but we didn't hear a sound all night. Thankyou once again for a pleasant stay we will certainly use again.

Really enjoyable stay - location for a large party was ideal, all the rooms were really bright & spacious, & the staff were always approachable and friendly without being remotely intrusive.

It was the perfect base for any large group, with surprisingly large and airy rooms for a budget hotel. I wouldn't hesitate in staying here instead of the nearby Malmaison etc. Not as cheap as some competitors but still perfect for those on a budget.
