“Great Location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 August 2014

Ideal location for seeing the delights of Newcastle, plenty to do close by and only a ten minute walk to the city centre for shopping. Free on street parking after 6.30 with a secure carpark only a couple of minutes away which is also free over night. Ask for a room over looking the river if you can otherwise no real views. Good food and the meal deal is worth the money.

Room Tip: Rooms over looking the river have better views

We stayed here for a night when visiting newcastle and the staff were very helpful, sorting out our parking and greeting us with malteasers and a smile! Excellent location and the rooms are a good size, though the view leaves something to be desired! Super restaurants nearby - but remember to book a space in the car park as these are at a premium!

Had a single overnight stay here recently as a family of 4. The location was great. If you want a noise free location this isn't it as it is literally right at the water and the seagulls are somewhat nocturnal however unless, like us, you wedge open you window, you'll be none the wiser. Beds were comfortable and room was immaculate.

The room was incredibly warm, a fan was already i the room but did little for the 26° heat. Hence the window wedging so aircon would have been a luxury but wasn't a real issue.

Also, if u can't park in the car park pop £2.60 in the metre outside after 6 or 8 pm (can't quite remember) and you can leave your car in the bay until 10am. Job's a good'n

First time at a Premier Inn. Must say, I was really impressed by the staff, the room and the comfy bed. Will definitely go back ! Well positioned at the quayside next to Tyne bridge. Lovely Wetherspoons on quay five minutes away and a Slug and Lettuce directly below. Perfect if you are on a tight budget.

Stayed at this hotel quite a few times now and I've never had a problem. The rooms are clean and tidy, it's fair value for money and the staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. As for parking, it says when you book that if you require a parking space then you must previously book or they can't guarantee that there will be a space for you. Check your confirmation, then there won't be any surprises.

Within a reasonable walking distance from the railway station and the main shopping area. Great walks over all the bridges and along the quayside. Hotel was a little old fashioned but then its an old building! Staff all really friendly and helpful. Lot of stag and hen parties but no bother with any of them. Would certainly go back again. Great wetherspoons just along the quay.

I have stayed here a couple of times now and always find a friendly warm welcome with adequate free parking directly outside the hotel. Its situation is great for the local nightlife scene combined with flexible late bar if your require a night cap.

Overall rooms are premiere style and you get what you will find at most Inns and of course the famous good night guarantee....

Getting to the hotel and from is quite easy - but I can imaging if you not know the area its a little confusing.. just follow the ring road and turn left when you think you should turn right.

Room Tip: its a premm inn most are the same
