Wonderful food, service and accommodation. One of the best hotels in Newcastle with extremely helpful efficient staff. The food was all wonderful but OMG - the cheese!!!! just fabulous.

Having stayed at the hotel on several previous occasions, we were looking forward to our weekend break and, again, we were not disappointed.

The room, as always, was immaculately clean and the staff were attentive without being obtrusive. We ate in the restaurant choosing the ‘Market’ menu, which had been introduced since our previous visit. This was unbeatable value at £26 per head for three courses.

We love the fact that the hotel is set in a tranquil wooded location yet is still within easy reach of Newcastle city centre and the quayside

We had an anniversary break at the Jesmond Dene in December and were not disappointed. A beautiful room, spotless bathroom and a good night's sleep. The food was superb. OK it is not cheap but for a treat it is worth it.

I spent 2 nights at the Jesmond Dene Hotel and would highly recommend this hotel.

Staff - could not do enough for you - really lovely people, who genuinely want to make your stay a positive and enjoyable one.
Rooms - spotlessley clean, luxurious and highly appointed - love the bubble bath/shower gels etc
Food - breakfast - ok. Afternoon tea - absolutely fabulous.....! I understand a lady called Christine makes the cakes. Christine - you make delicious cakes - thank you!!!! I didn't sample the evening meal.....
Location - beautiful and tranquil - with the city on your doorstep.
The hotel itself is lovely and spacious - very plush!
It just goes to show that it really does make the difference to spend that bit extra, if you can, and have a truly luxurious and enjoyable stay, where you will be made to feel thoroughly welcome and very spoiled.

Thank you!

We stayed here for a few midweek nights. I have to agree with other reviews, this hotel is great. The rooms are spotless and well looked after. The breakfasts were excellent, the staff we encountered were great, however, if your not in a car or some other form of transport then I'd think twice before going here. True it's a 10 min walk from the local Metro station, but we had to ask 3 locals of it's whereabouts, it's not well signed at all. There was no info at the hotel on the local buses or Metro times either. The hotel for all it's merits I found a tad "Lofty". I honestly felt a bit out of place, particularly in the evening, the hotel is popular for it's evening meals. The bar prices were on the high side too, £4 for a glass of beer and £6 for a double. As Ronnie Corbett used to say "I know my place" . As stated great hotel but I think I'll try nearer the town next time.

Stunning in terms of the architecture and recently renovated to the highest standard. My room was on the small side (but I was on business and they gave me a good rate so I wont complain) The room was just gorgeous, all the furniture, bedding seemed as new. There was a complimentary fruit bowl which was a nice touch and the complimentary toiletries were really lovely, with a thick fluffy white towelling robe and slippers. The staff could not have been more helpful, the concierge exceptionally so. Nothing was too much trouble. The biggest problem for me was the overpriced wireless internet. (£5 for an hour?) which prohibited me from picking up my work emails so I won't be staying again when I am on business. I think this hotel would be really perfect for a romantic break as it was just so stunning and in a nice quiet location but close enough to all the nice restaurants in Jesmond.
