“Amazing food, even better atmosphere.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 August 2014

I've been here a few times with my partner and friends now and will continue to return!
The decor is like nothing else in Newcastle, a good selection on ales - the staff seem to know what they're on about too and they're not shy in giving you a free taste of what they have to offer! Food is insanely tasty BUT the only flaw I have is more vegetarian options! They have a few pizzas suitable but it would be nice to see a veggie burger option. Other than that, cannot fault.

“Good Real Ale”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 August 2014

Called in on a Saturday to try the beer. Good selection of 20 craft Ales available . Prices £4.20-£4.90 a pint. Quick service, restaurant quiet but enjoyed the beer. Would call back for an afternoon drink

“Quirky Friendly and Great Food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 August 2014

Called in on a Thursday at around 6 o'clock. Place was busy but we easily found a table and a very helpful waitress brought us menus straight away. Plenty choice of food. Can highly recommend the pizzas. Tasty fresh and cooked to perfection. The chips and battered cauliflower were amongst the best that I have had. Not a place to go to if you are all dressed up looking for a posh night out but definitely the place to go for great food and excellent service. Give it a try as it is a little bit different from your usual pizza or burger joint. Great value for money.

“Different and very good”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 August 2014

Went to the Dat Bar 2 days running. First with my son for a drink and something to eat early evening and loved it. Well impressed with the many beers on offer and the food is different from other eateries in the centre of Newcastle.
Great choice of burgers at £7 , would recommend the Italiano which is very very tasty , fat chips £3 make a good side and they are very good.
Second visit for lunch the next day with my wife and we shared a selection of the smaller bites on offer. The pulled pork slider is superb !!
On both visits the staff were very friendly and the food was served promptly.
The eating area is separate from the bar and is very comfortable and you can enjoy listening to really good music which isn't too loud.
Try it out , you won't regret it.
