The owner also has the blue moon in newcastle which also served amazing food, but he has moved to stowel street, China town at moment. The food at royal emperor was fantastic when we visited, the welcome and service lovely. All the dishes we tried were good, hard to choose a favourite.

Give it a go, you will not be disappointed

We had a meal last night from the a la carte menu I can highly recomment the crispy duck and pancakes plenty of everything to go at. The staff were attentive and friendly. There was a steady flow of diners whilst we were there. We certainly werent hungry when we left. I would highly recomment this restaurant in china street above the others. They offer an eatas much as u like from sunday to thursday where your food is srved to you freshly cooked to order.

A few years ago we stopped into a restaurant named Dragon House, on Stowell street in Newcastle....the heart of Chinatown. Great service and fab food. A few months ago we went down to get a bite to eat and we noticed Dragon House was now called Royal Emperor. Let me tell you, the place is just as awesome as it was before.

I'm a huge fan of the sweet & sour cashew nuts and tonight my wife has fallen in love with
the king prawn dumplings. They told her it would be about 15 min to come out (as they were to be steamed) and she swears they were worth the wait.

Stop in and give it a try, you won't be disappointed with the food at all.

We went here last Friday evening and was extremely happy with the food! We had previously been when it was called Dragon House and this is a huge improvement! The staff were very good and very happy, the food was delicious and so fresh. My husband who doesn't like Chinese food except duck and spring rolls said it was the best he'd ever had. Will definitely go back.
