Description: Pani's Café opened January 1995 and run by a family of brothers and sisters. It was one of the first Italian style café in Newcastle. As authentically Italian as you can get without actually going to Italy. In Pani's Café you can find a different menu for day and night and a constantly updated special board. We offer you the chance to experience Italian home cooked food and to savour an authentic Italian coffee in a convivial atmosphere. A little piece of Italy in the heart of a beautiful city!!!

We have only recently discovered this place and it was through Trip Advisor. It is very popular and has lots of regulars, some who have been coming for eighteen years! This was only our second visit. The staff are all very friendly, creating a lovely atmosphere and the food excellent. The prices are very reasonable, especially compared to some in Newcastle.

Visited as part of a group of 12. Friendly welcome. Shown promptly to our table where drinks order was taken straight away. Service very efficient throughout and food extremely good and reasonably priced. There was a pleasant atmosphere in the restaurant, which was very busy and I gained the impression that there were quite a few regular customers. Different to your bog-standard Italian restaurant and well worth a visit. Including quite a few drinks the bill worked out at £25 per head for an extremely pleasant meal. Very good value.

We found this place by accident taking shelter from the rain. What a really great place it is. The staff are so friendly and welcoming we would definitely make the effort to visit again.

ate here before the Theatre. Menu a bit different as well as standard Italian fare. There were four of us and the food was all exceptional. Service very good. I would recommned, it is a cafe style but comfortable enough for a meal.
