Description: Pani's Café opened January 1995 and run by a family of brothers and sisters. It was one of the first Italian style café in Newcastle. As authentically Italian as you can get without actually going to Italy. In Pani's Café you can find a different menu for day and night and a constantly updated special board. We offer you the chance to experience Italian home cooked food and to savour an authentic Italian coffee in a convivial atmosphere. A little piece of Italy in the heart of a beautiful city!!!

We visited here last night with friends and all really enjoyed our meals.
Everything tasted delicious, the service was good and the prices were incredibly reasonable.
There's lots more on the menu I'd try and I'd return here happily.

Panis looks great wouldnt know how to describe interior other than whimsy , wheelchair buggy and child friendly ive been many times for a snack or flatbread drink and of course a homemade canoli
But on this occasion my wifes birthday as more people said they wanted to come out a other italian restraunt said they could no longer take our booking so with 2 days notice we booked a table here for 22 people
Throughout the night staff were fantastic all of us ordering off the full menu yet never waiting for food more than a few mins very impressive especialy as the rest of the room git quite busy
The food is very traditional sicilian a common theme from our friends was "it wasnt what I thought it would be like , but it was lovely" and prices are very reasonable too

Had lunch here based on Trip Advisor reviews, and glad we did. Lovely Sardinian food in a charming setting and the service was great too.

No pizza's (I presume that they don't do pizza's in Sardinia) but plenty of choice for us (being pescetarians).

Will definitely go back. Recommended

Out shopping in Newcastle today with my wife. We discovered Pani"s in High Bridge. We both had a pasta which was excellent and very good value for money. The café was very busy for a wed. afternoon.

Our first time in a Sicilian restaurant. So much choice - without a pizza in sight! The black pasta was delicious. The fish tasted of fish & not a masking sauce. Please look at the menu & you'll see what I mean. www.paniscafe.co.uk.
Service was helpful & patient when we couldn't make up our minds.
We just had to try the desserts. Ice cream was traditional Italian, Mine was a work of art - a light Tiramisu. Excellent value for money & we did buy drinks & coffees.
It really was a perfectevening & we will be going back again and again.
