Really excellent food and service. Friendly atmosphere. Would unreservedly recommend this - it was busy on a filthy Wednesday night and we had a fabulous meal. Nothing bad to say.

This has always been a firm favourite of ours when dining in Stowell street, China town in Newcastle. The service we receive is always second to none and the food has always been of an excellent standard. Consistency is very important when running a restaurant and this one certainly gets full marks for this!! Well done Dragon House !

5 of us came here for the £14-50 set menu buffet

Copious amounts of prawn crackers, and these were tasty!

The chicken and sweetcorn soup is not my favourite anyway, find the texture strange and the lack of flavour didn't help on this occasion

Mixed appetisers, ribs were the size of chicken nuggets and were tasty but prefer a rib you can get your teeth into! Seaweed was nice but the spring rolls were oily and greasy

Main courses - all hot but not packed with flavour in all honesty, the rice was fine and the noodles were a bit limp and flavour-less

Service was excellent and friendly and the drinks prices were ok.

Have been before and the food doesn't really improve but its nice enough for a quick meal and reasonably priced if you don't drink too much! But its not top class or top end. The dishes from the main menu may be a bit nicer so one has to accept the food on a set menu may not quite be up to the normal standards, though I don't necessarily agree with that.
