It's been probably 20 years since i first came here, and while i don't remember the first trip, I do have very fond memories of numerous visits I've made over that period. The staff have always been outstanding in their service, and often their memory of myself or those that I'm with. The food is always up to a brilliant standard , while i rarely get anything other than Pizza the Pasta is well worth a look in.

After reading reviews on trip advisor we decided to give this restaurant a go. I wouldn't recommend doing the same.

The restaurant was very quiet so we didn't need to book.

The service was sluggish and at times quite rude. There was a man and woman working in the restaurant, the woman seemed to be our waitress, although it was difficult to tell as she wasn't around much, the gentleman could muster little more than a grunt or 'wait a minute' when we asked for drinks as he went to retrieve the woman from somewhere else to take our order. My mother in Law ordered Salmon with salad, she received Salmon with chips... these things happen. The fish was a huge fillet but watery and tasteless, she managed a third or so then left the rest. When the waitress came over she queried the left overs, but gave no apology or even a comment in response for that matter, she just took the plates away and didn't return.

They do a lunchtime deal pizza/pasta for £4 which has the usual dishes on for this type of menu and is reasonable value for money.

Some of the food we ordered was ok and some not so ok, definitely not worth the trip out.

Have visited vincenzo's twice (both times during happy hour). Great value and excellent food. Great choice on the happy hour menu, would recommend the burgers! Will definitely be visiting again, best Italian I've been to out of trying many in Jesmond and heaton. Worth ringing up beforehand to book as gets quite busy!

Went for the lunch time special. Prices reasonable with £4 a pasta or pizza and the kids were £3.50 for pasta/pizza and ice cream and drink.

The portion size was very good and the food was top notch. Normally you have to settle for either quality or quantity but not the case here. You get both!!

Staff were lovely too.
