A marvelous stay for us in Kenilworth;s Old Bakery. Everything we could have wished, including the warmest of welcomes from the Blackburn family and when you are 12000 miles from home that is really important. First class accommodation, great breakfast, real British fish & chips and a proper pub: perfect. Our thanks to everyone!

The barmen are very friendly and polite. Chilled atmosphere and something different. A wine bar for beer lovers.
We came for a quiet drink. It was busy but the right place for a good chat with friends

Stayed hear for two nights in very cold and snowy weather. My room was warm and inviting with everything you could need. A great powerful shower and FREE WIFI. The bar has a range of good local beers and a very homely atmosphere. Although the hotel does not have a restaurant for dinner, the breakfasts are very good and freshly cooked. I would recommend The Old Bakery when staying in this area and well worth the effort to avoid the large impersonal chain hoels of Coventry.

My whole family had a fantastic time at this bed & breakfast. The breakfasts were by far the best we had during our whole vacation stay in the UK. The innkeepers were very hospitable and considerate with my children. At night they have a nice little pub to grab pints with friends. Next time I am in the area, this is definitely where I will book my stay. I highly recommend these accommodations to all.

As someone who regularly stays in the area, the Old Bakery has become my first choice accommodation. I've always received a warm welcome and have never had reason to complain about the rooms. In the evening, the bar is busy but not noisy and there is always a good selection of beers available. For some, the lack of dining in the evening may be a problem, but personally I like this as it encourages a walk into Kenilworth (through the Abbey Fields park in summer is lovely) where there are plenty of good eating places. However, during the winter, Monday evenings sees the Old Bakery order in fish and chips and these are excellent (and popular!)
For breakfast there is a selection of cereals, fruit, etc, a good choice for cooked breakfast with nice strong tea and thick toast. Service is pleasant and quick.
It is not especially cheap and there are probably less expensive options available in the locale, but the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, which is worth a little extra.

We were booked in here by Loch Fyne next door who didn't have any rooms left. We stayed on a Monday night and asked for a downstairs room as my husband has difficulty with stairs. The room was extremely clean, nicely furnished, slightly on the small side but definitely adequate for one night stay. Nice toiletries and plenty tea, coffee, milk etc and biscuits. The bottled water was a welcome touch. Unfortunately we didn't sample the bar as we were having a meal next door with family. Breakfast was on the early side (up to 8.30am) but was beautifully served, plenty choice, although we would prefer a pot of coffee and cups rather than mugs. Very pleasant staff. We did feel that £95 was a bit on the high side for the size of room and for this reason alone will not be returning.

Our second visit here and it did not disappoint, spacious, comfortable rooms with masses of piping hot water. Great breakfast served in the bar which is full of character - a special Jubilee breakfast was offered of smoked salmon and scrambled egg which was delicious. Parking is behind the building and takes a bit of finding but was easier this time than in the dark in December! A very warm welcome by the staff and we are back again next month to celebrate our daughter's graduation from Warwick University.
