The hotel was perfectly adequate, but definitely needed a little work. We paid less than £50 for bed and breakfast (for 2), so we weren't expecting anything amazing, but both the air-con and window were broken in the room (the window didn't close properly or lock). The hotel was reasonably clean, and the staff were very friendly. There was plenty of choice for breakfast, and it was tasty too. Overall, the stay was fine for a budget hotel.

On arrival we had a small hiccup because despite prepaying we were asked for payment. But this was sorted before check out.
The room and bathroom were very small. But every effort had been made to ensure guests had everything needed. The complimentory water was very welcome during the night and the little toiletries selection was also handy. Bonus points for free wifi which whilst slow was usable. On a negative though we don't expect to pay for car parking and whilst £5 isn't much, it's enough for me to consider alternative hotels next time.

Having previously written a good review of this hotel I was very disappointed to find on a return visit that they have got greedy and introduced parking charges for overnight guests. This has put me off using or recommending them

This hotel is in the city of Kenilworth within walking distance to Kenilworth Castle and many stores and restaurants. Good place to take the bus to Warwick and Stratford-upon-Avon. Room was clean and quiet. Staff was very accommodating and friendly.
We enjoyed eating in the on-site Indian restaurant.

Stayed here with a colleague for 5&1/2 weeks this summer - lets not forget its a three star hotel - the rooms were really clean - the breakfasts were awesome - you gotta try the Indian breakfasts!
Evening meals were great too - staff were really friendly - location in kenilworth great too!
Thanks Jay - Alan - girls on reception - nothing too much trouble!

I have stayed in this hotel in the past and have found it convenient when I have been in Warwickshire on business. I paid £52 through a booking service, but found that our room had no windows that opened and an air conditioner that was broken, didn't cool the air and was very noisy.

That said the bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Service was helpful and the food and breakfast were of a good standard, although the food both in the evening and at breakfast took a very long time to arrive.

For the price, it's an ok place and the rooms upstairs are lovely and better appointed than the stable block, so ask for one of these. Arrive in plenty of time for dinner as it's worth staying for the food

We have to admit some times we get it wrong. We know what it can feel like especially on a hot English summer night (rare!).. We do have one double room where we are prohibited by the Fire Authority from allowing guest's to open the window because it is located beneath a fire escape. On the night in question, we were practically sold out and you should have been informed at reception. I hope you will accept our apology and will try us again in the future.

Booked via late rooms. On the face of it the price was ok but was shocked to then be charged £5 for parking. No hint of empathy on check in. Simply a grin and a comment of "it's the policy". Ordered a newspaper for which they tried to charge me 25% above the cover price. Again, the same grin and "it's our policy". Nearly told them where to stick it. The room was ok in itself I will not rush back for customer service such as this.

We are were sad to learn that you felt that you were wrongly charged for parking during your recent stay. As you booked via Laterooms you will see under facilities that we do charge for parking. Kenilworth is a lovely and popular market town and secure parking can be hard to find and our parking facilities are quite limited. As many of our guest's can attest the grin you saw from one of the team is was a normal expression of friendliness which you chose take as snarkiness. It is your choice!
