Found the hotel tired, pokey and over priced. The one saving grace was the service and politeness of the waiter at breakfast.

The shock of being presented with an additional charge for overnight parking disgusting especially when it was not clearly displayed at reception or advised on checking in. On challenging this short coming the hotel owner just simply kept on insisting it was on his web site..... For his attitude, more focus on money than customer satisfaction, I will never stay here again.

If you do decide to stay and are allocated room 108 then please check that the electrical faults have been rectified......when I tried to report them the owner only made a note that I was reporting 3 electrical faults......refused point blank to actually record the actual details. He stated that he had a maintenance man who would sort......interesting when he does not know the issues.

By the way.....I rang back later in the day to check if the faults had been 'found'....only to be told by the receptionist that she was unaware......so as one has a duty of care I informed her of the issues:
The bathroom electric heated towel rail had a broken cover and had bare live electric terminals exposed
Hair dryer mains cable frayed....
Air con reporting maintenance required....

Plus the hot tap kept falling off
And finally the worst crime of all.......serving hot toast flat on a plate and no a toast rack .....

I'm sure Hayley and Alan wouldn't mind me describing their hotel as quirky. I likened my morning experience to that of a Galleon just setting sail and as it did so the timbers creaked and groaned (in a nice way). Then to be greeted, as we came down to what turned out to be a delicious full English breakfast, by the captain and her crew. We really enjoyed out short stay and would certainly recommend and revisit anytime. It was great to meet Hayley and Alan.

Very warm welcome from the manager Haley. Very nice room, good facilities, located at the front of the hotel so a bit noisy with the windows open so a room at the back might be preferred. Good central location, ate at the restaurant The Coconut Lagoon which was very nice. Breakfast was very nice and the waiter was very attentive and polite. All the staff seemed to have many roles and they obviously work very hard but remain friendly and professional. Well done on the service, hotel a bit tired but clean and comfortable.

Room Tip: A room at the back would be quieter.

We stayed in this hotel recently which was a little tired in appearance but had a very professional welcome. Unfortunately there was no heating or hot water in our room which was reported when we arrived but was not fixed until 9.30pm. We were expecting a small reduction in the bill which was refused and then asked that the hotel manager rang us. No communication was made by the management and this left us feeling that Premier Inns are the only reliable source of accommodation.

Although we only live in Coventry, we wanted a night out and thought we'd treat ourselves to a night in a hotel.
The hotel is on the High St and absolutely perfect for the many restaurants and bars and within walking distance of Kenilworth Castle and Abbey Fields.
We were on the ground floor overlooking the car park. The room was a decent size, comfortable with good facilities. It could probably do with a redecoration but this wasn't a problem.
All the staff we're extremely helpful and friendly. The beds were comfortable and the room was very clean. We didn't eat our evening meal there but had breakfast which offered plenty of choice and was cooked to order, although I was a little disappointed that my veggie sausage had been fried.
Our only frustration was that the wifi kept dropping out and we had to keep signing back in, but that was just a tiny issue.
For the price, we had a lovely stay and would recommend it to anyone visiting Kenilworth.

Room Tip: Some reviewers have complained about small rooms, so ask for a larger one.

We stayed in this quaint hotel recently on a last minute decision. Staff were extreamly pleasant and friendly. room was a little tired but atmoshpere of rest of the hotel was very welcoming. Same members on staff during our stay, one receptionist and one night porter. both extremly friendly and helpfull. Very effiecient staff, nothing was too much trouble for them. We didnt eat in the restaurant, but it did look lovely, breakfast was most enjoyable, and served by the same two members of staff, who for the hours they must work, didnt faulter, were very professional.

Would live to stay here again, just hope that it isnt their day off.

Room Tip: room at the back of the hotel, in the courtyard, very quiet, great for relaxing.
