Stayed for one night on business. Price was extremely competative. From arrival to checkout, the staff where extremely courteous and helpful.

Room was spotless and clean.

Breakfast was very good indeed. Freshly cooked, hot and not at all greasy.

Stayed 2 nights in an upgraded room which was spotlessly clean with modern furnishings.
Comfortable bed/pillows could be better.quality.Our room was facing a long street and the double glazed windows were not a good fit resulting in lots of wind noise in room 508.
Staff overall wre excellent, breakfast was very good wih lots of choice.
Location is excellent for town centre
Overall good value for money hotel stay

Room Tip: ask for a quiet room location

Stayed in April for a long wkend, cannot fault this hotel or its staff.
Great food, spotlessly clean room and the rest of the hotel was the same.
There was only one or two more guests on the sunday night but the breakfast was made to order and it was fantastic, nothing over cooked and not greasy like in some places.
Try it you wont be sorry

I stayed here for business and will, probably, stay here again.

The location is excellent as I am working in SW Coventry but like the vibe of Kenilworth. The only downside is the breakfast which is alright but not up to some Holiday Inn standards – which is a shame.

It is also a shame about the lack of swimming pool but not the end of the world.
Will I stay here again? Yes, possibly next week.

Top tip – walk through Abbey fields to “Old Kenilworth”

Also, if you do want a swim

Room Tip: I had a bad one overlooking nothing but I am here for work.

Thank you very much for your review of the Holiday Inn Kenilworth, I am sorry that the breakfast you had was not up to your expectations, your comments have been passed onto the relevant department.

The swimming pool that you included in your review is an ideal facility near the hotel and is only a 10 minute walk.

Once again thank you for your review

We stayed for one night using our priority points.
We had stayed here years ago when the hotel was the De Montfort,so knew the location was good for visiting Warwick,Stratford and National Trust properties.
The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was comfortable [we did move from a standard double to a two double bedded room as the first room was small] and although overlooking the roundabout was quiet.
Thought the position of tea making facilities was inaccesible and dangerous.
Would stay again if in area and needed a budget type hotel.
Value for money was good as we used our points.

I stay in the Kenilworth HI quite a few times for work.

The location is very nice in the middle of Kenilworth with plenty of places to eat and drink within walking distance of the hotel.

The rooms are all relatively newly decorated and are very attractive, although the rooms I have stayed in all seem a bit on the small side.

I agree with a previous reviewer about the level of lighting in the rooms being too dim - but this seems to be a common complaint of many holiday inn hotels (and non-HI ones too). Another small complaint about the rooms is that there are only 2 accessible power sockets in the room, at the desk, nowhere near the bed so charging a phone overnight is a bit inconvenient.

Staff are very friendly and generally helpful. Complimentary WiFi throughout the hotel is excellent and a real plus for this hotel.

So apart from the previously mentioned issues with the lighting levels and sockets, what are the other let downs with this hotel? well...
1. The in room heating/cooling is ridiculous. There are A/C controllers in the room but they are over-ridden by a central controller. So I came back one evening to a room on full-on heating mode despite the temp being set low. On another occasion I woke in the night to see that my room was 30 degrees - even though I had switched the A/C off and opened the window. I have heard others complain about other HIs and their centralised control of room temperatures, they seem to have particular problems in spring and autumn when they don't know what the temperature will be. But then why have in room controls at all?
2. Some of the TV signals in some of the rooms are terrible making many channels unwatchable.
3. The breakfast is very poor. The people of this hotel should take a 20mile journey to the Solihull holiday inn and have breakfast there, that is how it should be done. The Kenilworth HI have terrible tasting coffee, cheap water-like fruit juice, the hot food looks most unappetising and the fruit selection is pretty rubbish too.

Room Tip: Make sure you get one where all the TV channels are watchable, the Wifi signal seems to be better on...

What a lovely hotel in a lovely little town.
Room was large, clean, comfortable, warm and nicely decorated/maintained. Everything you'd expect from a Holiday Inn in all honesty, but credit where it's due.
Would definately stop there again.
Reasonable value for money.
