Great hotel in prime location for Kenilworth, Warwick and Leamington. Downgraded from 4th floor suites to 3rd floor. No worries as room smaller but not by much. Good beds and clean airy room. Have to give very special praise to Lucy and her staff on Friday Night who helped make my Mum's birthday so special. Staff have been outstanding. Despite being locked out of room on return to room from meal in Kenilworth (?). Not much to fault. Dinners we have eaten in restaurant have been exceptional (Chef must have a great meat supplier as steaks and Pigs Cheeks are wonderful). Would always recommend.

Dear goodnightgal

Thanks for such a great review and I am delighted to read that we helped to make your Mum's birthday extra special. Chef will be pleased to hear you enjoyed the food particularly the steak and pigs cheek.

We hope to welcome you and your family back very soon.

3 of us went here for a girlie spa 1 night break. We arrived and a teachers conference was in progress so the place seemed very busy. As we were early our room wasnt quite ready so we went to the bar for a drink and light lunch, included in the deal, it was very full with hardly any space but eventually we found a small table and then grabbed enough seats. The lunch was lovely, a platter with soup, salad, sandwich, a chicken skewer and dip and a small cheesecake. So much for the light lunch! Then our room was ready, we were very very impressed, 2 lovely king size beds, attractive decor, beautiful bathroom, flat screen tv, iron, board and trouser press, coffee and tea making facilities, water and biscuits all in the room. We each had a 50 minute spa treatment included so had lovely massages, then went to the pool. I have to say that this was the only small niggle, the pool itself was rather cool so we didnt stay in long, we went into the steam room, again it said it would run at around 40c but was well below 30, but it was comfortable and we had it to our selves for quite a while. There are only a few beds around the pool so there was nowhere for us to sit but eventually the 2 heated tiled sun loungers became free and we relaxed there before returning to our room for a while to chill out before getting ready for dinner. The restaurant was not full but was pleasantly welcoming as were all the staff. We had £26 included each in our deal for dinner. We each had 2 courses, mine being a gorgeous steak, and an extra cheese and biscuits between us. This fell completely within the allowance. The wine was extra and as usual for a hotel, was not cheap but was a lovely bottle. Breakfast was served until 11am on a Sunday, the choice was huge, if anyone can say there was nothing for them then I would struggle to understand just what they could want. It was self service buffet style and all hot and to a good standard. The staff work hard and are all very eager to help. I would stay again with no problem but would say, perhaps a few more sunbeds, a slight rise in the pool and steam room temperature and maybe more tables and chairs in the bar and the title would have been PERFECT STAY.

Dear chrisontour

What a lovely review and thank you for giving us a top score despite your disappointment with the pool temperature (which was temporary and has now been resolved). I am delighted the team looked after you well and you particularly enjoyed the spa lunch.

I hope we will have the opportunity of welcoming you and your friends back very soon.

Kind regards

This is not the first time I have been to this 'spa' but it will be the last.
All the staff were v friendly so no complaints there but the facilities are not v impressive.
The pool and surroundings were even colder this visit which didn't make for a relaxing time and the pool area was dark & a bit unkempt. The boiler was blamed on my last visit 8 months ago!!
There was a great gap between the French doors letting cold air straight in and it all just needs a bit of maintenance or replacing.
In this day when so many hotels compete for this market share I'm afraid this just wasn't up to scratch.

Dear KoalaStar

Thank you for your review and I am very sorry your visit to the leisure club and spa did not meet with your expectations. The problem with the air temperature and pool has now been resolved and I hope this will not deter you from trying out one of the leisure facilities in another QHotel in the future.

Thanks again, Kind regards

We just stayed for one night and found the hotel to be very good. The rooms were clean and comfortable (including the bed which I note that some other reviewers have not found to be comfortable). Staff were all helpful and friendly, especially the lady on reception. We arrived just in time for last orders in the restaurant and yet we didn't feel rushed by staff. The food was not fine dine but was perfectly enjoyable. We thought overall the DBB rate was very good value for money and we would definitely stay here again if in the area.

we have just returned from a week end at chesford the pupose was my grandsons wedding reception, on arrival we were greeted by staff & shown to bar area whilst waiting for reception to start we had a pleasant hour in a superb bar, we were then showed into the room where reception was held by two delightful young ladies who i think were the wedding reception organisers, the room & tables were delightfull, the food & service out of this world, after the reception we retired to our superior room spotless & very comfortable, after a shower & short rest we returned to the funtion room for the evening reception a buffet was put on at 9pm which can only be described as excellent, we retired to bed at a very late hour, in the morning after a nice restfull sleep we went to the riverside room for breakfast where the choice & quality of food was first class, a very enjoyable week-end was had by all, downside could not book in till 5pm but otherwise a superb week-end, ps good job i did not have to pay for wedding

Room Tip: being disabled we had a ground floor room
