What a beautiful, inviting guest house. Wayne, owner, made us feel welcomed and relaxed. Room, number 6,was gorgeous and roomy but not recommended for people who find stairs difficult as the room has attic stairwell.Very steep. Breakfast was lovely and they will cook to your preference. The surroundings are lovely, castle across road and a lovely huge park, tea rooms and local pubs. The road outside is very busy during day but at night....silence. Overall....fantastic and relaxing.

Room Tip: High room, big, good views. Number 6. Steep stairs though.

It should be said that the present owners have only been at this property for 6-7 months and are working hard to refurbish it - I see that the previous poor reviews relate to the period that the property was owned by someone else because you could not fault this experience. The owners Wayne and his wife (sally?) were extremely welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and the room was absolutely spotless. My one criticism would be the very squeaky floor and bed (room 2) but that is something I was more concerned about for people in other rooms than for myself. I would definitely stay again if visiting the area.

I stayed at Castle Laurels for 5 nights while attending a training course with work and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The location is excellent - opposite Kenilworth Castle and only a short walk away from the town centre and large park area. The owner Wayne is very friendly and welcoming. I had travelled alone and had booked a single room but during my check in I was immediately given an upgrade to a double room at no extra cost which was a very kind gesture! The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable which made for a very relaxing stay. The full English breakfast which is cooked fresh for you as soon as you sit down for breakfast is also especially good. The only minor quibble would be that the room & bathroom size is not especially large. Kenilworth is a beautiful little village with some excellent pubs and restaurants and I hope to return one day and I would no hesitate to stay at Castle Laurels again. Highly recommended.

My fiancee booked this for us to have a nice weekend away.
The place is very lovely in the traditional guest house way and the hosts are very friendly!
You have a good choice of breakfast and personally we thought the whole stay represented great value.

The place was spotless and is only walking distance from a couple of lovely pubs and Keniworth house.
Nice and central for exploring the area and I'm quite looking forwards to the staying there again next time we are in the area.

Personally I recommend the smoked salmon with scrabled eggs! very nice way to start the day!

We stayed for one night after visiting family in the area. Friendly welcome, very clean room, comfy bed and nice breakfast. Had a pleasant walk around the castle and park, just minutes away. A little old fashioned but that was part of the charm. Will definitely stay again.

Room Tip: We were in room at back so no road noise.

I will definitely stay here again next time I'm in the area - that probably tells you what you need to know. Friendly and accommodating service; delicious breakfast; nice clean, nicely-decorated room. I've been to a few local places in this price bracket, and this is definitely my favourite.
