“Lovely, cosy cottage a short drive from Stratford”
Reviewed 2 April 2018 for a stay in March 2018

Cosy, warm and comfortable, we had a lovely time here. Stratford is a short drive away, and has plenty to do - Shakespeare museums, places to eat and drink, shops, nice walks. Go to the MAD Museum and have fun pressing all the buttons to make the machinery work! Shakespeare's school is also well worth a visit!

Thank you Janet for your very kind review. So glad you enjoyed your stay at Brassknocker Cottage and also got the chance to sample some of Stratford's numerous visitor attractions. You are right about the MAD Museum - even though it's in one of the town's main streets. it's tucked away and easy to miss, but well worth a visit, especially if the weather's not so good. It's a great place to visit with children too as there are so many fantastic interactive and stimulating exhibits to try!! We hope you will be back again soon!!-

“An Absolutely Wonderful Break!”

This place is truly magical and you can feel the character and history from the moment you step through the front door ! It's full of lovely original features like the gorgeous open fire and original flagstone floors. And it's finished to such a high standard that it would put many 5 Star hotels to shame! There is everything you could want - books, CDs, walks and a meaty file full of tourist info. The area is lovely with stunning walks and great pubs - lovely view across the fields from the main bedroom. We had a relaxing time and I even managed to do a bit of painting and sketching (which should tell you how chilled I felt!)

“Quaint yet modern home from home”
Reviewed 12 September 2017 for a stay in September 2017

We have just returned from a six day break, and from the minute we stepped in to Brassknocker Cottage we felt at home. There is every modern amenity you could need in a beautifully restored cottage. Everything was spotless and the beds comfortable. The owners had left a lovely welcome gift of wine, chocolates, flowers, milk and even treats for our dog. There is a very safe enclosed garden where we could let her out without worrying. Traffic does tend to go fast along this stretch of the road so you had to be careful when leaving the cottage. The Blue Boar pub restaurant just along the road serves beautiful dinners, as does The Bell in Welford. It was easy to get to Stratford upon Avon, which was our main interest in going to this area, but you are spoilt for choice with all the other places of interest within easy driving distance. We will be recommending this cottage (and the company) to friends and family.

“Charming cottage near Stratford-upon-Avon”
Reviewed 3 September 2017 for a stay in August 2017

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the stunning 'Brassknocker Cottage'. The cottage itself was beautiful and very homely, the interior has been completed to a very high standard. Upon arriving at the cottage we discovered a complimentary gift of prosecco and chocolates from the very kind owner, Jan. All facilities worked perfectly and the internet connection was strong.
The location was ideal, a few miles from Stratford and in the small, pretty village of Binton. We loved our stay and would definitely come back.

“Stunning little cottage”
Reviewed 15 July 2017 for a stay in June 2017

Lovely little cottage to stay, quiet and quaint.
Stayed for a little over a week, the kitchen is fully equipped and easy to use. The bedrooms are well appointed and clean.
The road is just outside the front door but little traffic noise comes into the home.
The owners are very helpful, we requested an extension to our stay and there was no problem.
It's a nice drive to Stratford and other attractions in the area.
Do yourself a favour and give it a try.

“Cosy cottage for a country break”
Reviewed 23 April 2017 for a stay in April 2017

Lovely two bedroom cottage a short walk from a village pub and close to Stratford on Avon.

Welcomed with some fresh roses, a card and a bottle of bubbles on the coffee table. Good facilities including wifi, plenty of parking, a well appointed kitchen, lots of local information and lovely décor.

The only slight downsides are that the cottage is on a 40mph road which has plenty of traffic going past during rush hour. It's not particularly noisy but there's only a narrow pavement outside so take care if you have children or pets staying. Also there is only a very narrow shower in the Bathroom.. which was just fine for us but would be uncomfortable if you are well built or have mobility issues.

Overall it was absolutely perfect for us and we had a lovely few days walking and relaxing.

“Perfect stay”
Reviewed 11 April 2017 for a stay in April 2017

Lovely cottage, very comfortable, nicely decorated, good kitchen with all essentials, very clean. We stayed for four nights in this lovely cosy cottage. Nice welcoming touches - wine, roses, chocolates and even treats for the dogs. Nice walks nearby including one across the fields behind the house which was handy for dog walking.
