We had lunch here last Thursday. We were three adults and one three year old child.
This pub is nicely presented with large outside seating area, ideal for summer lunches.
The interior is quite pleasant, airy and comfortable with contemporary decor.
The main courses started at a fiver so we didn't expect too much. The food was slow arriving and not very hot. The coffee was awful, weak and tepid. The staff were mainly young and seemed inexperienced. They carried out their tasks without joy or enthusiasm. The Red Lion has most of the features to make it a superb venue for lunch or dinner but the management need to get a grip an motivate the staff.
