We had a lovely stay at this Travelodge. Very clean and all the staff were extremely nice and helpful. Room was big, clean and bed comfortable. (More tea coffee would of been good)
Location across the road from retail park was a bonus, and a stop on the tour bus. A 15min walk in to town wasn't bad. Free parking in very large car park.

Lovely stay in stradford upon Avon, hotel was lovely and for the first time tried breakfast in a travelodge and was impressed. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
Room was spotless and staff was very friendly, only downside no hairdryer in room but remembered you had to ask at reception.

Stayed with friends overnight during our trip. It is good price, clean and comfortable. Rooms are spacious and have basic amenities like coffee/tea arrangements and necessary toileteries in the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and they had happily arranged for a third bed because we were 3 people. This was done before we reached which we totally appreciated after an exhausting day. There was no phone in the room so to check anything with the reception we had to go down though they were happy to assist. They helped us with chargers for our phones as well. Did not try the breakfast but it was the regular buffet (but no choices of eggs) for around 7 pounds. There is a Domino's right beside the hotel and a 24 hr Tesco across the road. Just after the Tesco towards the city centre is a small mall with M&S food and other clothing stores. The hotel is not right in the city centre close to the Shakespaere's birthplace but a 15 min walk. We did not mind the location but it is little aloof if you are walking late in the night though I believe the city is pretty safe.

Would recommend for no frills attached budget stay.

We always stay at the Stratford Travelodge when we go the RSC. It is always a very good price, parking is easy and comfortable and convenient. It;s opposite a big Tesco and retail park so easy to top up the fuel before or after the journey. It is a great hotel in an expensive town to visit. It meets all our needs.

We have stayed in many Travelodges. We enjoyed our stay here. You know to expect with a Travelodge and this was up to standard. I would like to mention 3 good points:
1 Convenient for the town - it is one mile to the centre of town with
all its attractions. Also near shops like Aldi and esco
2 Cleanliness - staff were very busy wiping banisters, moping floors etc
3 Staff were all very pleasant and helpful.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the car park not the road.

You know what to expect with a Travelodge, this one is been refurbished so is lovely and white! With a bar and restaurant ( not that I used them ) it's got all you need although it's not far to walk to the town centre so you could be at Shakespeare's house and a all that Stratford has to offer.
The room was nice and big good bed and a shower room my only complaint would be the water saving shower heads! I can't see how they save water I was in there for ages just getting the shampoo off.
I saved a fiver looking on line for discount codes which were easy to find.

I used this hotel having recently completed a focus group based on the 'upgrade' of the Travelodge chain. I was curious to see how they've changed as my experience of Travelodge in the past has always been of hearing negative reviews.

On arrival (at 13:50) we were told that to check in before 15:00 would cost us £10, and that there was nowhere to store our heavy bag, but if we wanted we could wait in the bar or walk over the road to Tescos. The music in the bar was too loud so we opted for latter option. It felt a bit like a dead hour when we could have been out and about, especially having spent 3 hours sitting on the train.

The room itself was clean and basic. There was nothing remarkable, but equally nothing offensive. A small TV offered about 7 or 8 channels, there were clean towels and tea and coffee facilities.

The bathroom was very basic. Very cheap toilet paper and no shower gel which I have become accustomed to in hotels.

The wifi is £5 an hour, so we decided it'd be cheaper to add on a gb of data from our network provider instead to last the duration of the evening.

Decor in the 'newly decorated' hotel seemed dated - not a good sign for a refurb!!

On the plus side, the bed and bedding was very good.

The next morning breakfast was adequate but not more than that. The food tasted pretty cheap and there was nothing that stood out for me. The cups and cutlery ran out, as did all of the hot food in the 45 mins that we were down for breakfast, although it was refilled by the staff buzzing around clearing tables and checking out guests.

If I were to do this sort of trip again soon, I would most likely fork out the extra £20 for a Premier Inn just to get the comforts that I'm used to.

Thank you for your review mhilling. We can confirm that as a brand standard we do not provide toiletries in our rooms. We find our customers prefer to bring their own. However we do provide a vending machine at reception where our guests will be able to purchase any forgotten items. We are sorry to learn of the poor experience in our Bar Café, our café staff are fully trained on preparing our food to great standards and ensuring all items and cutlery are readily replenished so it is regrettable to learn of the lapse in service on this occasion. We will be sure to pass on your comments to the hotel management team so that they can be aware of the improvements which need to be made in the Bar Café.
