“Great rooms, great location & great price!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 July 2014

Stayed at this hotel in March 2014 with my other half for our weekend break in Stratford upon Avon. Cannot fault this hotel for anything! Rooms were clean and spacious, pretty basic but if you just want a base for exploring the town, then it's perfect, especially for the low price we paid! The hotel is a 15/20 min walk from the main town centre. We dined out one of the evenings and got a taxi there & back as it was a bit chilly in the evening and it was very cheap. I think we only paid £4 each way, and that was on a taxi meter too! Would really recommend this hotel if you're visiting Stratford upon Avon & want to save money to spend on actually doing things whilst there!

Went on a girly trip to Stratford in May and booked the Travelodge a few months earlier at an amazing inexpensive rate for a family room with breakfast. From the moment we arrived the staff went out of there way to be helpful, friendly and did everything they could to make are stay a great experience.
The room was spacious very clean and comfortable, when we asked for more pillows they were there as was more toiletries etc., nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was excellent lovely fresh cooked breakfast buffet, a good selection of cereals and pastries, and really good coffees and tea... it was a cafeteria type setting but very comfortable and exceptionally clean.
Would definitely recommend this hotel and for the price you cannot go wrong.

we struggled to find the hotel but once there had a friendly greeting, easy parking and a comfortable room. there was a very convenient bus stop across the road - an all day ticket to come and go was only £2.20. the breakfast was varied and frequently replenished and overall it was a pleasurable experience and the hotel was one that we would be happy to use again.

Room Tip: avoid those over the main road as they can be noisy

Four of us stayed here in mid-July during a very hot spell of weather. There is just about adequate free car parking when the hotel is fully booked. There are retail parks very close to the hotel which is situated about a 20 minute walk from the city centre Check in was fast and efficient, the staff were friendly and the service they provided was good. We only ate breakfasts in the hotel but the food was of good quality and the choice was what you would expect in a budget hotel. The rooms were large but lacked furniture (only one chair, one medium sized unit and limited shelving) so storing of items was difficult. However the bed was comfortable and the hotel throughout was very clean. Unfortunately the whole of the hotel was very hot and stuffy due to the lack of air conditioning. Although a fan was provided for the bedroom and the bedroom window kept open all the time to its maximum extent of only a few inches the bedroom was still uncomfortable to stay and sleep in. There was an extractor fan in the bathroom but the power of it was insufficient to remove the steam from the shower. Consequently this only made the situation worse. Despite these problems the hotel was still good value for money.

Room Tip: If bedroom is hot keep the window open all the time to its maximum extent and request a fan from rec...

If the weathers hot cancel your booking and book into Premier lodge they have air con worth a few more pounds. We spent two nights 18 th 19 th July. Staff were good room was clean but expecting us to sleep in these rooms without air conditioning was unbelievable windows only open about 8 centimetres corridors were hotter than hell if there had been some ventilation in these It might have helped.

I stayed for a week in July, during warm weather.

I checked in, which took about 1 minute, but having bought a wifi voucher when I booked online, no voucher or code was provided. It was only 3 days into my stay that I remembered.

I was told that room cards didn't survive long, and frequently needed replacing. On day #2, my card stopped working. Simply by quoting my room number, I got a new room key. I was asked no questions, and didn't have to prove my ID. What a quick way to make money as a thief...

The room was large, but utterly sterile. A small, basic table, and a plastic chair was the extent of the furniture.

The bathroom was spotlessly clean, and the shower adequate, without being invigorating.

The room overlooked the car park, the smoking shelter and Dominos pizza, so leaving the window open wasn't a practical option. I cooked.

The room is on a busy road intersection opposite the May Bird retail park, so it's busy. Handy for Tesco and the local pub, which does breakfast from 07:30 (allegedly).

It's a brisk and uninspiring 15 minute walk into town.

Enjoy.

Inadequate ventilation throughout hotel. Rooms uncomfortably hot as no air conditioning & unable to open window wide enough (due to health & safety). I know weather can't be helped but it would have been so much better if the window in the room had been left open before we checked in. Room was clean, bed comfy. Room felt odd as it was large but empty - like the furniture had been stolen. Sort out heat issue & stay would have scored higher.
