Having recently had the pleasure of staying at The Arden Hotel, I thought it only right to review this superb hotel.
From check in to check out the staff could not have been more accomodating, the room (suite) was spacious and beautifully appointed, the bathroom huge with luxurious products and fluffy bathrobes. We enjoyed a relaxing drink in the Champagne Bar overlooking the RSC theatre and river. The hotel is ideally situated a few minutes walk from the main street and hustle and bustle of Stratford, yet in a quiet location. We are lookng forward to our next visit to The Arden for a touch of luxury and relaxation.

This is the second time we have stayed here, once with a special offer from the RSC and this time as there was a special winter offer.

I won't deny that it is usually a little out of our price range but I wish it were not.

The room on our first visit was splendid but we had an upgrade for this one with the offer and had Monkey Puzzle, fabulous room and bathroom and a superb view of the waterside and theatre, facing the Swan. great cosmetics, comlimentary water etc. I think it must be one of their best rooms that are not suites.

Checking in was good, we were a little early so they kept our cases and when we got back they were in our room, I cannot tell one day from another and thought Mon am was Sun and that breakfast was until 10.30 am. We phoned down to say could we leave our cases in the room during breakfast to be told breakfast was finished.

BUT BUT

the receptionist asked the chef to do us a full English cooked breakfast and the waiting staff kindly offered to fetch Juice and anything from the Buffet that we wanted and all without making us feel like the idiots we were.

Such good and pleasant service is the making of a hotel and this one has it made.

We come to Stratford quite often and will be back anytime we get an offer that lets us afford it, if you can afford to stay no where else even the other very good hotels, this one has them all beat.

Room Tip: Monkey Puzzle was a great room.

This was the first time my husband and I have stayed at The Arden and we were very pleased with our stay. Beautiful hotel with exceptional service. All the staff are very friendly, the food in the restaurant was outstanding and the fact that it is literally right across the street from RSC, it is just the perfect place to stay! We are going back to visit Stratford-upon-Avon again in June and our room at The Arden is already booked. It's the only place to stay!

We have just returned from a long weekend at this hotel. It met every expectation - a superb room with top quality fittings and furniture, excellent, helpful and friendly staff and excellent food. We stayed at the Alveston Manor for many years when visiting Stratford, but sadly it is becoming tired and dated with too many things going wrong, so The Arden was a most welcome and refrshing change!

I found this by reviewing tripadvisor reviews. All were positive and I could not agree more. Very friendly and efficient staff who gave us a double upgrade. Guess they weren't too busy. However, they did not recommend the best place for dinner; they just said it was the best after we found it on our own (through tripadvisor). Still rate the hotel tops. Can't beat the location, right across from RSC/Swan Theatre.

Room Tip: We just chose the 'classic'.
