Just arrived home after a fantastic weekend. Everything from start to finish was absolutely superb. Got a weekend deal 2 nights B&B and 1 evening meal. Had dinner first night, was a la carte and was absolutely lovely taste, presentation, surroundings and service. Room spotless, and comfy had a great sleep in a huge bed. Breakfast was great. Spa is also spotless and I had the best massage by a lovely girl called Lauren. Am renewing my wedding vows next year and I cannot think of a more perfect place to do so. Cannot wait to go back. Definately one of the best uk hotels I have stayed in. As a bonus we also met some fab people too.

Room Tip: had a low floor room and was perfect.

Stayed here with my wife along with colleagues from work, hotel is located in beautiful grounds with golf course and first impressions was a wow!. The internal parts of the hotel gave a very indulgent feel with a superb fireplace in the main hall having a roaring fire which on occasions was a little smoky effecting ones eyes. Check in was efficient and the room was well proportioned with an excellent bathroom suite, the only issue in the room was the TV being an Apple computer/ TV combination, only way I could turn off the screen was from the plug.
As a group we all had a meal in the evening in the restaurant which was pre ordered whereby the food was not up to the standards I was expecting, the chocolate fondue was really dry as if they had been left to one side for a long period of time before serving - 2 members of our party had to wait 15 minutes or so after the main party had received their deserts, we were told there was confusion on the ordering!. In addition the Pork Belly was really not very nice with the crackling very hard which could not be cut with the knife too well, I had to leave most of it - one of the worst I have had!. The breakfast was very good however I was surprised that there was no choice of eggs, I have never been to a hotel anywhere in the World which did not serve scrambled eggs!.
Putting aside the evening restaurant food quality our stay was relaxing, it was certainly 4 star standard overall and staff were friendly however the hotel needs to be careful as I did notice that one or two had some difficulty in speaking or understanding English. Yes we would stay here again gladly but we would certainly have an evening meal at another establishment

Room Tip: Evening restaurant food was not to the standards I was expecting.

Thank you so much to Helen (the Treatment Manager) who kindly look after me so well during my visit.

Helen is a fantastic ambassador for this Spa, nothing was too much trouble.

I've been to many Spa's and the treatment from the staff can be average and also the treatments themselves. Here brilliant! Great treatment off the Manager, Helen, and great treatments from her staff.

Thank you again for a great day and 5 star experience.

Stayed in November 2013 we booked through secret escapes. Room was very clean although on the small side but had got everything we needed. The food was excellent & the back massages were good. We asked for a quiet room as there was a wedding on & thats what we got lovely peace & quiet. Room service was good & all the staff were very helpful. Its set in a lovely peaceful location & not to far from Stratford shopping etc. Would recommend for couples wanting a chill out.

Room Tip: book a room away from wedding partys

This is the fourth gala dinner our firm has held at this beautiful hotel and each time we are looked after beautifully by the wonderful Irwin and his team. Nothing is ever too much trouble, the welcome is always warm and we all look forward to our next visit already. Fabulous. Love it.

Room Tip: Request a room in the older part of the hotel. They are lovely with lots of character.

My husband booked 1 night for my birthday , we have stayed here twice in the past. He had upgraded us to the Caroline Suite which is in the main building. We had a cream tea in front of the open fire surrounded by the gorgeous Christmas Trees, so relaxing. As usual service, food and the Spa was wonderful, the young man on the Spa reception remembered us from our visit previously, as did the waitress in the dining room, the dinner was beautiful.
Our suite was beautiful with four poster bed and overlooks the gardens.
Only one thing I would say is that tea/coffee should be included in the price of the dinner.
Drinks are expensive.
That won't put us off visiting again.

Room Tip: Choose a room in the main house so much character and get one that faces the gardens

A lovely hotel on lovely grounds.
Room was warm and quiet. Nice touch having a computer in each room.

Service was average, didn't have that special touch that you sometimes get at 4 or 5 star hotels.
The spa was good, It was a very cold day and unfortunately the outdoor pool was just too cold to use.

The biggest let down was the restaurant. It wasn't bad, but very average. Had dinner three course and breakfast buffett. nothing special.
