Having stayed at the Alveston I have the following obervations:
Location - Close to the RSC and center of Stratford
Staff - Friendly and Polite
Tariff - £130 a night for a 4* hotel seems good to me
Chef - Very accomodating with food allergies
Coachhouse - Very comfy and quiet
General decor - needs a repaint.
Rooms at front of hotel - large but noisy and quite cold as only single pane glass.
Location - Easy to find but straight next door to main road in to Stratford and a garage.
Restaurant Service - on the night we stayed when there was a wedding it took ages for our meal to arrive and for us to be offered bread even though the wedding reception had ended. On the morning after the wedding we had to sit in the corridor whilst a table was prepared - something I have never had to do before even when staying at 3* hotels.
Spa - You expect more facilities. Whilst there were spa treatment rooms, there was only the following facilities:
An indoor pool (which was freezing)
A sauna and hot room.
I have stayed at the Macdonald Bath spa and there are so many more facilities. Indoor and outdoor pool, jacuzi, treatment rooms and about 5 different types of sauna/ hot room.More
