I have just returned from a two day break at the Alveston Hotel.
On arrival it looks stunning with beautiful kept grounds and all looks fine at check in, what lies behind is very different and disapointing, worn carpets, 70s decor and soiled furniture in the room. We stayed in the Warwick wing which looked like a 1950s American Motel.
The rooms were clean apart from the stains on one of the chairs in the room and the stain on the bedside lampshade both of which did not bear close inspection
The staff are polite and professional, as there were a couple of people complaining at rececption.
Food and drink in the hotel are expensive, but the quality of the food was quite good .
Overall very disapointing,on this trip we also stayed at a Hilton and a Puma hotel which in my opinion are in a different league to this hotel group.More
