We stayed for 1 night and were pleasantly surprised by the hotel. I had been there in the past but since then it has been refurbished and is much brighter and lighter, especially in the foyer area.

The room was very comfortable and cool, not luxury but perfectly adequate for our needs. All the staff we met were friendly and helpful.

The hotel is in an excellent location near the theatre and river and only a short walk from the restaurants in Stratford.

Breakfast was good with plenty of choice and the food was hot.

The pool area was small and could do with some updating.

On a negative point I feel charging £5 for the car park is a but much on top of the room price.

Overall a good hotel with helpful staff and clean rooms.

We went for a 4 day break just to be tourists and soak in the Shakespeare experience.. The Hotel was in a perfect position and we didn't have to use the car for any of the time we were there, yes there was a £5 cost but it didn't seem unreasonable. We had two king size rooms on the front which had a little traffic noise but not enough to keep us awake at night, the only noise we did experience were inconsiderate guests letting their doors bang!. Breakfast was a buffet and was busy most mornings but we never had to wait for a table and it was always hot and tasty. Overall an excellent venue, ideal for the centre and a visit to the RSC, lovely spot by the river for the morning coffee! We didn't eat in the restaurant but this was because there are so many places to chose from in Stratford. If we have one suggestion it would be to offer free WI FI, we will certainly use this venue again.

Surly staff
Overheated bedrooms with no ventilation
Inedible food
Overcharge on the bill for non-existent items then refunded the wrong credit card!

Room Tip: All I can recommend is persevere with complaining. If you can get through the very defensive clerks, you might get somewhere

My partner and I stayed here for a couple of nights as part of a longer trip. This was the first time we stayed at a Holiday Inn and we were pleasantly surprised. The location was great, easy access to the shopping area and close to the RSC theatre. Everything we wanted to visit was in walking distance, including the Butterfly Farm. We recommend Hobsons Patisserie, who serve amazing food & coffee. The facilities at the hotel were good. We used the pool and spa, which were fine, but pool could have been a bit bigger!
Breakfast offered a good selection and area clean and tidy. Highlight was sitting out on the patio area overlooking the river. Bar was typically overpriced for drinks. We did not dine at the hotel, but a carvery option was available which looked ok. Our room was an 'executive' room, was was pleaseant enough and had a fridge with complimentary drinks and snacks. We would stay at this hotel again.

we stayed at the holiday inn stratford on avon for one night only it was quite late when we got to the hoteland so didn't check the bathroom ,but wanting a shower after sleeping in what seemed like a sauna, the air conditioning wasnt working properly the bathroom had only a bath towel,no hand towels, you had to go down to the reception for a shower mat, we had booked an accessible room as l needed to use my wheelchair, nthe showwer was over the bath,no good to me. l was told that only one room out of about three hundred rooms had a walk in shower.am sure they could save money by added showers instead of baths.
