What a wonderful night away in a hotel that is lovely and modern. We received a very warm welcome. Rooms lovely with big comfy bed. Slept like a log in a well appointed quiet room. Breakfast yum. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting this lovely town.

We arrived at the hotel on Saturday 26th and checked out on Sunday 27th April. I've stayed at The stratford hotel a few times but this has to be the last time I will EVER stay after the 'welcoming' we received on arrival at the hotel. I use the term welcoming very loosely. When walking into the hotel a tall blonde girl with long hair was stood behind the desk talking to another lad who seemed to also work there. After walking extra slowly towards the desk to see if she noticed us she suddenly turned and said hello in a very monotone voice. We were very early so we understood that the room wouldn't be ready yet, that didn't bother us but in the past we have always come to the hotel and registered then popped into town. We weren't offered this. She simply stated the room wasn't ready and the car was fine where it was. This was a weekend away to relax as my husband is only just over coming cancer, and that was well disappointing.
We returned back to the hotel around 5pm and were very welcomed by Katie who was very welcoming and nothing was to much trouble, the hotel was busy but she happily got us some fresh milk as we know theres only the small pots in the room. She gave us loads of recommendations of restaurants for the evening meal as we wanted something new to try! She also introduced herself and said she was more than happy to help if we needed anything else and happy booked a table at the restaurant for us and ordered us a taxi. On the way out to the restaurant whilst waiting for the taxi, an elderly couple had just come into the hotel who had experienced the same service from the girl in the morning as we had. So clearly it wasn't a once off. Throughout the rest of our stay the staff were more than happy to help and everyone else we came into contact with was very useful. Jason on reception on check out was very cheery for the sunday morning and himself and Lauren allowed us leave the hotel feeling happier and allowed us to enjoy our sunday.

We had decided to go the Stratford for a weekend break and having done some research online came across this hotel and we were certainly delighted that we did. We arrived late morning and parked without a problem at the hotel, going in to merely explain we knew we were early and had left the car in the car park. New were treated by two delightful receptionists who got the balance of efficiency and friendliness just right. We were advised that they actually had a room that we could check into which was a real bonus. We were checked in and the team explained that it was Shakespeare's birthday weekend and what events would be going on in the town. We went to the room which we were very impressed with. Modern decor and immaculately clean....don't think I've ever been into a hotel bathroom that was so pristine. We unpacked and then took ourselves into town, barely a 10 minute walk. We were out and about for the rest of the weekend and only dined in the restaurant for breakfast each morning. Breakfast was very good but not amazing and the flow around the buffet area got very congested but the quality of the food on the whole was good. Check out on Sunday morning was as efficient as check in and all the members of staff that we had any interaction with were lovely. A great hotel for exploring the area and would highly recommend.

Just returned from a weekend at The Stratford.

The most helpful - friendly - and efficient staff of any hotel I have stayed in. They certainly went the extra mile. It was very busy with the Shakespeare celebrations going on in the town, but there was no queuing, or waiting. Had two great meals in the restaurant - very high class cuisine!

Delighted you ate in Quills, thanks for the review. We open The Clock Tower Garden for the summer, 16 May, an alfresco dining option. A must try on the next visit.

Stayed here for a 3 night break. We had asked for a quiet room, which we got and although I was a little apprehensive about it being on the ground floor it was great. It's been a long time since I've walked into a hotel room and smelt how clean it was. The room was on the smaller side but there was more than enough room for us and our luggage and we certainly were not tripping over each other. Tea and coffee facilities and the fridge in the room were good. My partner used the gym and although small, had a good range of equipment. You can use the facilities at the sister hotel too for no extra cost where there is a swimming pool.

Breakfast was excellent with a wide choice and staff were great at serving the extra items off their
Breakfast menu in addition to their buffet. One day we asked if we could wait for a window table, this was not a problem at all. Coffee was excellent.

Location of the hotel was perfect. It's a 15 stroll to the globe theatre and there are plenty of places to eat locally if you don't want to eat in the hotel. Yes, it was £5 a night parking, but we didn't use our car once and walked everywhere, which is what we wanted.

I would certainly return and stay here again.

Room Tip: Rooms behind the conference area and the gym were v quiet.

We went to the Stratford Hotel with friends for a couple of days mid week. We all enjoyed are time there. The staff were the so nice and helpful, telling us where all the restaurants were and different sites to see. The bedrooms were spacious and looked newly decorated and furnished. Nice size bathrooms and lovely big fluffy towels. We didn't have an evening meal at the hotel but the breakfast was very good and you could help yourself to what ever you wanted. We will definitely return.
