Stratford Manor Hotel
Reviewed 3 June 2013 via mobile

Stayed for one night at the Stratford Manor. It is situated outside of Stratford-upon-Avon and whilst there is a bus service it only runs every hour.
Reception staff were very helpful and let us check in early which was very much appreciated.
Room 259 on the first floor was excellent, spotlessly clean, nice bath and everything we could ask for.
Breakfast next morning we felt could have been organised better. We had to wait for a table for no apparent reason and for food coming out of the kitchen. Choice was excellent though and enjoyed it.
Would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

Only four, because of the decor.... which of course is a subjective value.
My Wife and I arrived, for a 25th Wedding Anniversary Party for the lovely Barbara & Brian this was mostly a family affair with a few business colleagues and close friends
The Hotel is a Four Star
Reception was very quick and informative of the many in house facilities.
Room 223 on the first floor, very clean and well presented with tea & coffee fatalities in-room
Whilst very clean, its looking a bit jaded
We would say it needs a love cuddle, bringing up to date in decor.
The party was in a private function room, room nicely decorated with tables laid out, and a disco-tech set up with lights etc., arranged by the hotel the bar staff were excellent well coping with a rush of customers every now and again, and very friendly when they got busy.
Food was a hot buffet style, a excellent assortment to suite most tastes and good proportions
all in all a very nice evening with a good DJ catering for most music tastes.
Going to breakfast we saw a number of staff, all were very, very friendly and smiling
Breakfast was very good with a choice of cereals, fruits, juices and a nice varied range of hot breakfasts Items, you could order your own desire for the waiters.
The dinning room was a little dower in shades of browns and beige's, so like the corridors and bedrooms needs a decor, freshening exercise to make it brighter and prettier, having said that it was spotlessly clean and the service from the staff was very good and all were friendly
So management and staff overall a very WELL DONE!

Stayed for the night to celebrate our 18th wedding anniversary on the 31st May 2013. On arrival was greeted by a friendly receptionist and a glass of bubbly to say Happy Anniversary which was a lovely touch and much appreciated. The hotel was attractive and well managed with the staff all friendly, kind and extremely hard working. The owners should make sure they thank their staff for their hard work as I never saw them stop and they were all extremely hospitable. The room was clean and tidy and perfect for an overnight stay. The breakfast which was included in the price was lovely. We stayed at the hotel for the evening meal and the menu choice was great and the meal was perfect. A perfect treat and Stratford upon Avon was beautiful

Booked a last minute room. Room was good. Staff were very friendly and most helpful. Hotel is just outside Stratford but near enough to all Shakespeare's delights. Food in the bar was lovely. Had a peaceful, restful break.

Visited for one night with our teenage son. On arrival reception was friendly and very helpful. We arrived quite late (early evening) and the restaurant was fully booked until 9pm as the hotel was full but reception suggested that we dine from the restaurant menu in the bar which suited us fine after a busy day. Service was not compromised despite this and the meal was hot and very good.

We had two Q-star rooms with a really comfortable bed that you just sink into Sky TV (big hit with the teenage son!) and minibar with some complimentary drinks! My favourite thing was the Pecksniffs bath bomb - wonderful aroma and a great feeling on the skin; I felt totally relaxed afterwards as I snuggled up in a fluffy robe and made sure that I took the one from my son's room to relive the experience at home!

Breakfast was busy being bank holiday Monday but lots of staff were busy re-laying tables and replenishing the buffet. My husband has soya milk only and the chef made him porridge to order without any issue which is not always the case when we request this. My son was impressed with the sausages and I enjoyed the fruits and yogurt.

My only disappointment was that I didn't book beauty treatments in advance - I hadn't thought about it before we arrived and they were fully booked so if this is important to you be warned and book before arrival.

Visited the hotel on a two night break offered on the Q hotel website with breakfast. The grounds are stunning and on entry to reception were greeted by two smiling faces. Lisa checked us in and was faultless we felt at hone and proceeded to our room on the 2nd floor 265 and on entry was very pleased, we travelled with our two year old daughter and they had taken the tome to provide a drink and sweets on her bed, a lovely gesture. We then set out to explore the hotel, it's spotless and soo friendly right down to the spa staff who provided us with fluffy towels on our swim. We did not eat our evening meal in the hotel but the breakfast was hot with a good selection of English and continental and our service was excellent despite being busy. The hotel is situated a little ride away from the centre although the bus stop is right outside and every hour. We took the car and drove to Bridgefoot car park where the first hour is free then a £1 per hour after that, it's central and safe. We will definitely be returning and were sad to leave, a special thanks to Lisa and the gentleman who works alongside on reception you a credit and Our little one was overjoyed with our new addition aptly named 'Buzz', see you soon and thank you!

Room Tip: We liked room 265

Great location, fab room, polite friendly staff. Great room service. Breakfast was a little crowded but it was a busy bank holiday but the staff more than made up for it and 10/10 for the marvellous chef that baked some danish pastries for us. Spa was great, pool a little small, but otherwise excellent, best massage ever. Outdoors terrace for drinks was a treat, all in all a really good stay, cannot recommend highly enough.
