Sparse spa. Comfortable room and slept well . Breakfast delicious and staff delightful. We only ate once in the bar and the quality and quantity were perfect. However, the main reason we chose this hotel was to relax and enjoy the spa which sadly the description of being newly refurbished was misleading. I tried to book a manicure prior to our stay but.the therapist ( there was only one was fully booked). The towels were worn out and murky grey in colour and texture. The ladies changing rooms tiny and municipal and smelled of stale water. There was nothing luxurious or tempting to make one lounge and relax. Pool adequate, steam room and sauna pleasant. No Jacuzzi, no warm snuggly relax rooms . No help yourself to herbal tea. The robes at a cost of £5 were yukky sludge brown.
We went to VIP nails Stratford for manicures but it w.ould have been more enjoyable to have been pampered in their spa . Gym tiny but well equipped. This is not a complaint as we still had a lovely time but spa was sparse.

A great friendly welcome from reception. Hotel public areas really clean. Room lovely and comfortable and quiet. Bar area a little chilly with air on on, food very nice and breakfasts had lovely choice and as much as you wanted. All the staff we met were friendly and helpful. Would def stay here again.
The centre of town is about 10 mins by taxi.

We stayed 2 days in one of the superior rooms which was excellent, with free drinks from the mini bar. The three course dinners were beautifully presented and plenty of choice for breakfast.
The hotel staff were all extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them and the Hotel locality about 5 minutes drive from Stratford upon Avon which was ideal. We will certainly stay at this Hotel again when visiting that area. Lovely hotel surroundings and the hotel was easily found .

Just returned from Bank Holiday weekend stay. Hotel is in a good location just a few minutes from The M40.
The
Arrived late Saturday afternoon - hotel has a really good sized, secure car park - you need a code from reception to get out again.

A wedding reception was taking place that evening so the bar was totally full early on before they moved on to the function room.

The hotel does not permit smoking outside the front entrance, or on the terrace directly next to the bar, instead there is a designated large patio at the side of the building.

The standard room was in good condition, a few marks on the walls and no safe or fridge but overall ok. Bathroom felt modern and good shower (even if it was over the bathtub, a pet hate for me in hotels).

We had a package for 2 nights for B&B, Dinner 1 night and a ticket to Warwick Castle, not bad for £119 per night. Good location for the castle as pretty much just follow one road for 10 mins then you are at the car park!

We took dinner on the Saturday night, they actually gave £26 per person credit to spend on food only, it works out about right.

The restaurant was reasonably busy, and service a bit slow but all staff friendly and attentive. The haddock starter and beef were excellent, other half had the chicken with chorizo and she was impressed.

The only issue was that we ordered a sharing dessert and waited 40 minutes without it turning up. When we got up to leave and sign
the food to the bill, it arrived from the kitchen!

The man at the desk was apologetic and offered to send to the room. Within 10 mins we were back there and by 11:45pm we realised it wasn't coming! There is a phone in the room but no phone directory and we were the far end of the corridor.

We told the girl on reception at checkout and she waived the service charge and seemed genuinely concerned and made a note to raise it. We only paid for the wine so a fair result all round.

The pool was a fairly good size for a hotel of this always seemed to be people in there.

Public areas in the hotel feel modern and clean. Would return for the right price!

Dear mj187
Thank you for your review following your Mini Break with us. I am pleased that overall you have enjoyed your stay and would return again. I have shared your comments on the food with the chef, he is pleased with your comments.
My apologies for the delays on the dessert, having talked to the Restaurant manager it appears that they were then too quick in the delivery and must have got to the room before your return, but I am glad this was resolved in the morning.
Hope to see you again soon.
Yours sincerely

Stayed here on 21st and 22nd May 2014,and from the time of checking in to departure time, the stay, including room, dinner and breakfast, along with very pleasant and helpful staff, was almost faultless.....apart from...and you may think me a little picky, the tv size in the bar needs upgrading to at least a 50",especially with the World Cup coming up!
All in all,a very pleasant short stay.

Room Tip: Most rooms have a decent view on either side of he hotel, and being nowhere near a main road, ther's virtually no traffic noise.
