This hotel has a split personality. Part grand hotel at check in, posh man in dark suit, lounge area with squashy chairs and well equipped comfortable bedroom as you would expect for the price. However, as it has been said, the way in from the carpark is shabby and it is a long trek to Reception. We needed and found a disabled space (cannot reserve one) but when we drove back after the theatre the door into the hotel locked and we had to walk round to the front - not vey good for my husband who finds walking difficult. We got back in at about 10.58 and went to the " bar" actually a pub managed by le Bistro Pierre who also run the hotel restaurant. We were told they had called last orders. As residents we did not see why that should be a problem. They did not say we could get drinks from the hall porter. According to a leaflet in our room, room service stops at 10 p m. They did serve us in the pub. Altogether a bit perplexing. Is it an hotel or a pub with grand (and expensive) rooms? This hotel is very handy for the RSC theatre and we stayed there last September. Won't stay again.
