We stayed here for four nights, based on previous good reviews. Found ourselves in room 7, which many have said is very noisy, but did not find this to be the case. Can't fault the decor or furnishings - everything looked fresh and clean, and the bed was large and comfortable. 25 minute walk into town, but didn't have a problem parking in the town centre. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Ate at Mr Chan's (excellent) and Aladdins (good) nearby.
More personal than a chain hotel in town centre.
My only niggle would be that the room was too hot - we ensured the radiator was turned off and opened the window whenever we were in the room, but it never seemed to cool down.

The Stratford Limes is a friendly, homely hotel just outside of Stratford Town centre, which given the traffic in Stratford, is the perfect location. The whole hotel is modern and clean and yet has a lovely homely feel when you walk through the door. My double room was a good size, bed very comfy and everything you need is provided (shampoo, conditioner, hand wash, tea, coffee, biscuits, alarm clock with ipod docking station, tv, free parking.....). Breakfast was fantastic and nothing was hurried. The couple who run the hotel are very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

This is a really lovely hotel. Very modern, beautifully furnished, extremely comfortable. The public areas are superb – the lounge in reception is comfortable and airy, the outdoor space is excellent with seating arranged so that at any time of the day there’ll be a spot to be found in the sunshine.
If there aren’t many people about the bar closes early – not a problem though as the manager was happy to give us a couple of glasses to put in our room before we went out to see an RSC production, so that we could sit in the lounge with a bottle of wine we’d bought at the really good off license just a few doors down the road.
This hotel can’t be described as being in central Stratford but is only a 5 minute drive or a nice 25 minute stroll. There are restaurants nearby too. We tried the Tapas bar, which was excellent.

Room Tip: Our room was at the front, facing onto the main road, but it wasn't a problem. I'm a light s...

We stayed here on the way back up North and as we wanted to visit Stratford we looked for a hotel just out of town.

This fitted the bill perfectly and we were impressed with the size of the executive room and the location. It is more than a quick walk into town but there are taxis if you don't want to drive and park up in the centre.

There are some good restaurants nearby and we chose the Indian just a short walk from the hotel. It was excellent and very reasonably priced.

Only downside to hotel was another visitor leaving early and leaving their alarm to go off at 6am - it bleeped for 30 minutes. Not sure what anyone can do about that!

All in all a really nice hotel.

Arrived in Stratford early evening and looked for somewhere nice to stay for one night. Found this hotel on booking.com and liked the reviews. Can't rave about this hotel enough. Although a short drive out of the centre, it isn't a problem. Stayed in an executive room. Great size, spotlessly clean, beautiful decor. They've thought carefully about the finer details, eg ipod docking station, quality shampoo/conditioner/showergel and even had a decent hairdryer!

Free car parking. Breakfast had everything you would expect. The owners made you feel very welcome and were on hand should you need anything, and weren't pushy!

We stayed here for a night as a base for visiting Stratford. It's listed as a mile from the centre, but don't be put off by this if you're wanting a handy location (1) it's a really easy walk - a short mile, all flat (2) taxis won't rip you off - £5 approx from centre to hotel. The hotel is really well priced for the amenities provided - bedrooms are large, comfortable and very clean and there's a lovely in-hotel bar. The welcome is second to none, the owners can't do enough to recommend things to see / do - even offering us a lift into Stratford centre when we arrived! There are also some restaurants right next to the hotel (Chinese, Indian and Tapas). We went to the Chinese. which was excellent - really good food, well priced and more inviting than anything we'd seen in the centre. Highly recommend this hotel - will definitely visit again.

Stayed at the Stratford Limes Hotel in October for one night. Arrived late morning and received a very friendly welcome, including plenty of advice on places to visit and dine in the town. The décor in the hotel is very tasteful, and the room we stayed in was very spacious, spotlessly clean and very nicely presented. Clean bathroom., TV, free WIFI, and tea making facilities in our room. There is ample parking to the rear of the hotel, and Stratford town centre is only approx 30mins walk away. Alternatively there is a regular public bus service into town right across the street, and the hotel also offers a preferential rate with a local taxi firm. The breakfasts were excellent with a good selection. Great hotel. We would definitely stay here again.
