It is difficult to say more about this hotel than others have already but that does not mean it cannot be praised, it really does deserve it!

My wife and I stayed here on 3rd November to break a journey from Southampton to our home in Newcastle, we were very pleased to get a room as the online booking system (this was the night before) indicated no availability but, having read the reviews on Tripadvisor, I really wanted to stay here and thought I would chance a call to the hotel - I was overjoyed to find that a double room was available at £88 inc breakfast.

What strikes home about this hotel is that you can tell that the owners have really spent time to study and understand what guests really want, the attention to detail was phenomenal.

For a one night stay the location was ideal, a very light walk into Stratford along a street with some property eye candy to keep you entertained. We thought we might not fancy the walk back (we are lazy, it is not so far) so a quick check of the nearest bus stop to the hotel (50m) provided the number of the buses that pass and that was the job done. We also chose to eat at the tapas style restaurant a few minutes from the hotel, that was great too!

In summary a lovely hotel, friendly but professional staff, great breakfast and very convenient location.

My wife and myself along with our one year old son stayed here for 2 nights during a short break at the end of October.
The hotel was excellent and well positioned for visiting Stratford at only a 10 minute drive or 25 minute walk into the centre.
The staff could not be more pleasant and helpful. They put us in a ground floor executive room which was large and comfortable. The room easily accommodated all of our belongings, our push chair and they cot provided a cot for our son.
The room was large, luxurious and was spotlessly clean. Really I could not fault it.
The breakfast was also very tasty and was more than enough to set us up for the day.
There are a few good eating options around the hotel which means that you don’t have to go into Stratford for your meals if you don’t want to. The tapas bar nearby was especially good we thought.
Should we visit Stratford again, this will be our first choice.

We booked for a single night on the way north, didn't really know what to expect but we were very pleasantly surprised. It's a little out of the Stratford centre, but this was an advantage to us - the hotel generally and the room itself was quiet (and surprisingly spacious) and the atmosphere calm and friendly. We were travelling with a year-old baby, the owners / managers were very accommodating - helpful with advice, and generous with their knowledge. I liked them both, and Italian / Scottish partnership with many interesting stories if encouraged, but not at all obtrusive. They're obviously very proud of their hotel, it's kept in very good condition - clean, neat and well-ordered. Happily recommended.

Room Tip: Our room was facing the rear and on the first floor, there were no issues at all with noise and amenity.

My husband and I spent two nights (Friday to Sunday) at Stratford Limes at the end of October 2012. We had a room on the ground floor, which was of a good size and suprisingly quiet, considering it faced out onto the road.
The rooms are well-equipped with all the usual things like trouser press etc, but also a DVD player built into the television, and an alarm clock radio with iPod dock. The bathroom was of a decent size, with a shower cubicle but no bath.

Stratford Limes is in a super location, just a few minutes drive from the center of Stratford. The hotel's carpark is quite tight, but we didn't have any problems. Just be aware that you need to take the turn in and out slowly!

Breakfast is good, exactly as you'd expect really! Help yourself to the usual things (cereal, juice, fruit, yoghurt), then a rack of toast for the table to accompany the standard full English (fried egg, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, beans). The dining room is quite small, and could probably feel over-crowded if all the tables were full.

I recommend the nearby Crown Inn pub for an evening meal- lovely, reasonably-priced food, and very good service.

Booked late on a one night stop over on the way up to a wedding up north. Very pleasant reception on arrival and it was evident the owners take great pride in there business. The room was excellent, one of the larger rooms with a separate sitting room, all services were provided and if anything had have been missing I am sure it would have been no problem in being provided. Location is a tad out of town but a lovely stroll if the weather is good (which it was). Breakfast was good although another sausage would not go a miss on the full English, probably good for me in the long run though. Overall a very nice spot.
