Very comfortable rooms, but the layout and the number of stairs in this particular hotel is awful. It mist certainly is nit the stay of choice for anybody who has difficulty walking. Shame really, as location is just perfect.

This Premier couldn't be more centrally located. Minutes from the the theatre etc. this is my first stay in a Premier Inn and I'd definitely return. Usually I can find something to grumble about, but in this instance everything was tailor made for a good stay. The famous breakfasts, which were free for our two greedy children were free. The staff in the restaurant were efficient and friendly. I'd definitely recommend this hotel.

I hope you aren't in a hurry to reach your room because you can't even reach reception until you keep your finger on a button for an elevator which seems to be powered by a very lazy elephant! When you do check in, you have to drag your cases up and down stairs until you reach another lift to take you to your floor. Then there are more stairs and the worst sign posting I have seen in a hotel in years!! My companion and I both have serious health problems and having to cart our cases all this way made us both ill. Other than that, the room was lovely, clean, couldn't fault it, except there was no phone to reach reception should you need to do so in an emergency. Oh and no biscuits either! But on the positive side, the hotel is only 5 mins walk from the RSC and the rooms are very comfortable. But I wouldn't stay here again because of the stairs and maze-like route to find your room.

Dear Shirley C,

Thank you for taking time to review our hotel. We are now getting a new lift to reception very soon, so no more slow lifts. We do try our best to give people the rooms nearest to reception, sometimes its better to ring and request a room before the day of arrival therefore we can allocate you one nearest to reception.

Again thank you again for your feedback as we can now work to improve on these points.

Kind Regards,

Mitch Hale

Excellent location, near to the shops and railway station. The walls are extremely thin in the hotel. You can hear every sound. I have stayed at other Premier Inns in the past but never experienced such thin walls!! We also had a leak in the room from the ceiling and the bedroom carpet at side of the bed was saturated.

The hotel is very good located, and by the value paid, it was excellent. What is weird is the reception, that stays on the first floor, and you access by a elevator, that has just one platform, and to go up, you need to hold the button up, all the time, and it's very slow, very strange. We also had a problem during the checkout, as missed courtesy from the receptionist. We arrived just to take our luggage, 40 minutes late, and the lady was very rude, just saying that we were late, and not saying any other word, or suggestions. We had to beg to take our luggage. She said that she needed to check.

Dear Suzana_Corbera

Thank you for reviewing our hotel. We are currently looking into the reason behind the luggage, it does seem very unusual, for that I can only apologise for the confusion that happened. We hope that this didn’t spoil your experience with us here at our Premier Inn.

We hope you visit Premier Inn soon and again thank you for your feedback.

Perfect place to stay if visiting the RSC, as just around the corner. Just be warned there is no parking, so have to use the towns public parking that can be pricey. About a 5 mins walk away there is one £3 for 24hours. The hotel itself is typical Premier Inn, no surprises there. However, having stayed in several Premier Inns over the years for family an business trips this is not the best. Nothing particularly wrong with it, but this is the worst one I have stayed in for sound proofing. We could hear the air con unit from the room next door, and the walls were very thin. We could hear the children from the other room crying all night.
Bathroom had an over the bath shower, however the water pressure was very weak, so didn't feel satisfied with this.
We ate at the restaurant with the meal deal - very little choice with the meal deal. A plenty of other restaurants nearby, so wouldn't bother with that again. The food was great, but would have preferred more choice. Staff in the restaurant very friendly. They made a small mistake with our order, so we got a free round of drinks. So a lovely gesture.
Breakfast was very crowded, as the restaurant area is very small for the number of rooms, so we had to wait 15mins before being seated. Staff coped well with the rush, and again very friendly.
Would I stay here again - possibly. However I wouldn't book a meal with the restaurant.
Lots of stairs in this hotel. Even with a lift to the floors, there are split levels and very rabbit warren like passageways. So not a great layout.
We had a family room (2+2) The room we had was slightly small for this, as the 2 children's beds had to be place together so that we could all get into the beds. Not sure if the air con in our room was actually working, as it got incredibly stuffy and hot, even with the air con set for 20.
Lift access to the reception took an age - a VERY VERY slow lift, where you have to constantly hold the button otherwise the lift stops. It is far quicker to walk, even with cases.

For a single night stay, and for a budget hotel it is fine. Staff very friendly and helpful, just not the best Premier Inn I have stayed in.
